On World Kindness Day, we celebrate the role kindness plays in women’s healthcare. A warm welcome, a listening ear, and thoughtful support can make a meaningful difference to every patient’s journey.

Our team is proud to provide compassionate, respectful care in fertility and gynaecology, and to create a space where women feel heard and supported. Kindness, to others and to yourself, is an important part of good health.

World Cancer Day, held each year on 4 February, is a global initiative focused on increasing cancer awareness, promoting prevention, and inspiring action to reduce the impact of cancer worldwide. It serves as a reminder that cancer can affect anyone, anywhere.

Coordinated by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), the 2025 - 2027 theme “United by Unique” highlights that every cancer journey is personal. It emphasises the value of person-centred care, recognising that treating the individual behind the diagnosis helps achieve the best possible outcomes.

Approximately 1,815 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer annually in Australia.
It is the most lethal gynaecological cancer, with a five-year survival rate of around 46–49%.
There is no routine screening test for ovarian cancer, and symptoms are often vague and easily mistaken for other conditions.
Common symptoms include abdominal bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, feeling full quickly after eating, and changes in bladder habits.

My Story

I completed my medical degree in 1996 at Vienna University, Austria. After my studies, I initially trained in a renowned fertility clinic where I was involved in both clinical and research work. In 2000 I was appointed to work as a research fellow at the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Centre within Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, LA, USA where I participated in regular ultrasound clinics for high-risk pregnancy and achieved proficiency in my ultrasound skills. I also performed research projects in 3D-Ultrasound.

I started my training in obstetrics and gynaecology at the University Hospital, Vienna in 2001, and then continued in Australia in 2003. I secured a position as a registrar at the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital (RBWH) where I worked for 6 years gaining valuable experience in a wide range of difficult deliveries, pregnancy complications, and a variety of women’s health issues. I finished my training at the Redcliffe Hospital where I gained further experience and proficiency in gynaecological surgery.

In 2014 I became affiliated with Monash IVF to provide the option of fertility treatment in my practice and completed my Master of Reproductive Medicine (MRmed) in 2019.

I am committed to providing my patients with the highest standard of comprehensive, professional specialist care with a gentle and friendly approach. I look forward to meeting you and discussing your gynaecological or obstetric needs.
