On the 9th April, we attended the open day event neighborhood Center Although our company has operated in this neighboorhood for 5 years, this was our first outing at this community event and we look forward to doing more in the neighboorhood.

At this event, I started feeling that we have not connected with our community as much as we would have loved to, saw the endless opportunities that await us if we connect with local residents.

Every year we've attend the big Brisbane Disability Expo and are known to stand out. However, we miss out on directly connecting with the community that gave Amity Support Services a fair-go.

Our staff were on hand to respond to queries from community members, provide advice on support cordination. A highlight was meeting this young girl who shared same name as our company and the beauty that radiated her eyes when the mother visited our booth. It was a joy to meet all the wonderful community groups doing their best to help the Caboolture community thrive. Sharing some feedback from Sundays Christmas Party.

"Hey J, I just wanted to thank Levi and yourself for the Christmas party. Normally Christmas is a sad time since my mother past away last year but you all gave me a great reason to smile again. It was so lovely to meet Levi as well as your beautiful family and the food was delicious! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a joyful new year :) - Miss A."

"Hi L It is was great to be at the Christmas party with you and all. Thank you for all the preparations especially the food. I would like to give some feedback. I know there were few people who didn’t eat lunch because they were unsure of the food. May I suggest next function or Christmas party next year there will be cold meats , roast chickens, sandwiches etc. I am truly grateful for all the wonderful efforts but I just wanted to give some feedback. God bless you and I’ll surely give the gift to dad on behalf of you and the team" Miss E

We will work on the feedback.
