We love seeing the impact of hearing care at every stage of life 💙👂

Peter Dornan, husband of our founder Dimity Dornan, has recently been fitted with new Phonak hearing aids by Anna through our Adult Hearing Program at Hear and Say 🦋

Peter shared, “I can hear perfectly every conversation, music, TV and with the microphone attached to Dimity (pictured), I can hear her anywhere in the house!”
Great hearing isn’t just about sound. It’s about connection, confidence and staying engaged with the people you love.

If you or someone you know could benefit from adult hearing support, our team is here to help. Please call 07 3850 2111 to book your hearing test today

Claudia’s story is one we’re incredibly proud to share 🦋
After graduating with a Bachelor of Property Economics with Distinction, Claudia is now thriving in commercial property, recently celebrating a promotion, all while having worked full-time at Trident Property Advisory, throughout her degree!!

But her journey didn’t start there.

Growing up with hearing loss, Claudia has been part of the Hear and Say community since she was a newborn. As her life has evolved, so has her understanding of the impact hearing has had on her world.

“Being able to hear connects us to everything,” Claudia says. Today, her career relies heavily on communication, relationship-building and networking. She truly believes she wouldn’t be where she is without the support of Hear and Say (and her parents doing a lot of the heavy lifting too!). From career opportunities to friendships and life beyond work, hearing has shaped the path available to her.
Stories like Claudia’s remind us why early support, ongoing care and belief in potential matter so much.

We’re so proud of everything Claudia’s achieved and we can’t wait to see what’s next. 💙

🌟 Peppa Pig just gave kids’ TV a powerful moment and it features a real-life role model many families will recognise! 👧🐷👂

In the latest episodes, Peppa’s little brother George is revealed to have moderate hearing loss and is fitted with a hearing aid after a routine check-up. This storyline was created with expert guidance from the National Deaf Children’s Society to make sure it reflects real experiences in a gentle, age-appropriate way.

A special highlight is that the audiologist in George’s story is voiced by . Better known to many as Fury from Gladiators. Jodie is profoundly deaf and uses a cochlear implant herself, bringing authenticity and heart to the role.

This moment on screen matters. It shows children with hearing differences that they belong, and it helps families start conversations about hearing checks, early support and celebrating every child’s unique journey 🦋

Bravo to Peppa Pig's entire team and we can't wait to see the episode!

Gladiator Jodie Ounsley will enter the world of Peppa Pig as she takes on the role of an audiologist in an upcoming storyline about one of the characters' partial hearing loss. The animated show tells the story of Peppa, who lives with Daddy Pig, Mummy Pig, her little brother George, and her baby si...

When Stuart and Cassandra welcomed their first son, Archibald, they never imagined their newborn's hearing test would change everything. With no family history of hearing loss, learning that Archie was born profoundly deaf came as a complete shock.

Today, thanks to cochlear implants and the life-changing support of Hear and Say, Archie is thriving, meeting and exceeding his speech and listening milestones. When their second son, Oliver, was born with the same hearing loss, the family knew exactly where to turn. Hear and Say walked beside them once again, helping Ollie take his first steps toward listening and speaking.

This Friday, Stuart and his friend Paul are taking on an extraordinary challenge to give back to the organisation that made such an impact on his family. You can help support families like Archie and Ollie’s by donating today. 💙

This Friday, Stuart and Paul are taking on one of their biggest challenges yet, and the countdown is well and truly on ⏰

Together, they will take on Australia’s 15 highest peaks in a single day throughout Kosciuszko National Park. The challenge spans around 60 kilometres, more than 2,000 metres of elevation, and up to 16 gruelling hours, all depending on conditions.
Stuart and his wife Cassandra, have been supported by Hear and Say for their two sons, Archibald and Oliver, who were both born profoundly deaf and can now hear thanks to cochlear implants and life-changing early intervention services.

Their goal is to raise $15,000, that’s $1,000 per mountain, to support Hear and Say to continue changing lives through listening and spoken language services. With just days to go, now is the perfect time to get behind Stuart and Paul, help them reach their target, and support a cause that means so much to our community 💙

⛰️ The countdown is on! Only one week until Stuart and Paul set out to climb Australia’s 15 highest peaks in a single day.

At 4.30am next week, they’ll hit the trail in Kosciuszko National Park, aiming to summit all 15 peaks within 24 hours — a huge challenge inspired by two very special boys, Archie and Ollie.

Both boys were born profoundly deaf, and their journey has fuelled this mission. Stuart is taking on this challenge to honour their determination and to help other families navigating childhood hearing loss.

They’re aiming to raise $1,000 for every mountain they climb. If you’d like to support their effort and cheer them on, your donation will go directly toward helping more children access the support they need.

Every step they take is for Archie, Ollie, and kids just like them.

Help them make every peak count by showing your support here: https://fundraise.hearandsay.org.au/fundraisers/stubacca91hotmailcom/can-it-beaustralia---s-15-highest-peaks-in-a-day----

Christmas may have passed, but it’s not too late to make an impact.
For children with hearing loss, the gift of sound doesn’t end on 25th December; it continues with every new word spoken, every laugh heard, every moment of connection made possible through early intervention and hearing technology.
Families like Marlee and Pippa’s know what a life-changing difference that support brings. Before the year wraps up, you can help children across Queensland listen, speak and thrive.
It’s not too late to turn up the joy for children with hearing loss.
Donate today: https://bit.ly/3MezqnH✨
This Christmas, your donation can make an impact that lasts.
