Bio Concepts

Bio Concepts At Bio Concepts, quality independent and cutting-edge education has underpinned every facet of the business since its’ inception over 40 years ago.

Our mission to reduce the burden of chronic disease and create a healthier future. Bio Concepts was founded in 1984 by Nutritional Biochemist and author Henry Osiecki. Henry has published a number of text books on nutrition including The Nutrient Bible and his more recent text book, Cancer: The Importance of Clinical Nutrition. He also spent time as a research scientist and published a number of scientific papers in peer reviewed journals. Henry has been an integral part of the development and success of this company, helping Bio Concepts to be the first to bring a number of key nutrients into the Australian market such as CoQ10, Lipoic Acid and Acetyl-L- Carnitine. He was also the first to introduce glucosamine into Australia and promote this as the anti-arthritic formulae in the early 1990’s. He has played a pivotal role in changing the pharmaceutical model of formulations into a nutritional model and is the founder of the concept of synergistic formulations in an era where only orthomolecular high dose nutrients were available. Bio Concepts provide interactive learning to naturopaths, clinical nutritionists and mental health clinicians, as well as providing synergistic nutritional formulations for patient care. Through our educational Seminars, Workshops and Symposiums, along with our web-based educational activities and online resources, Bio Concepts’ education simplifies complex concepts to enhance clinicians understanding on a range of conditions. Bio Concepts practitioner members also have access to online resources at www.bioconcepts.com.au with a focus on the essentials of nutritional biochemistry in areas such as Mental Health, Cancer Prevention and Support, Inflammatory Disease and Epigenetics. Protein isn’t just for athletes – it’s essential for growing children!

A healthy balanced diet with adequate protein:
✨ Supports growth & development: helps build muscles, bones, skin, and organs as kids grow
🧠 Supports the developing brain & immune system
🍽️ Keeps kids fuller for longer: it helps control hunger and supports balanced energy throughout the day

👉 Tip for parents: Include a protein source at every meal for steady growth and energy!

From picky to plateful 🥦✨

If mealtimes feel like a battle, take a breath, you’re not doing it wrong. Picky eating is often part of the process, not the problem.

Top tips that can help:
🥕 Repeated, pressure‑free exposure – offer the food without forcing a bite
🍽️ Model eating – kids’ mirror neurons fire when they see you enjoying food
👩‍🍳 Involve them – chopping, stirring, or choosing activates curiosity over fear
🥪 Pair new foods with safe foods – familiarity reduces threat perception in the brain
😌 Stay neutral – pressure increases stress hormones, which shut down appetite
⏳ Think the long game – variety develops gradually, not overnight

Progress isn’t measured in bites eaten, but in confidence built. One meal at a time 💛
