Our Story
Located in Windsor, Brisbane, and founded by Dr Maria Boulton and Dr Fiona Raciti, Family Doctors Plus aims to change the way health care is delivered in the community. Education is key to our approach, not only treating disease but also encouraging and informing you about healthy living (through nutrition, physical activity and emotional health) to prevent disease. The result is Family Doctors Plus, a caring medical clinic based on health professionals spending quality time with patients as well as educating the community to encourage healthy lifestyles and prevent health issues. Both Dr Maria and Dr Fiona were disillusioned with what they saw as the traditional โ5 minute medicineโ method, which sacrifices a doctorโs time with their patients in order to maximise the number of patients they can see. Instead, our family-friendly clinic not only provides comprehensive health care to all ages, but also aims to empowers you to achieve good health and take charge of your own wellbeing. To help achieve this, we hold popular community education seminars on topics such as puberty, school readiness and menopause. This initiative is supported by regular health education newsletters for local kindergartens, schools, aged-care facilities and for expecting and new parents. Dr Maria is also a regular guest on ABC Radio Brisbane discussing health news. Dr Maria and Dr Fiona are joined by like minded and experienced GPs, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals who work collaboratively to help you and your family. Family Doctors Plus is a warm and welcoming clinic and has a dedicated kidโs waiting area, kidโs vaccination/treatment room as well as a large adultโs treatment room fitted with the latest state of the art equipment. Family Dotors Plus holds regular fndraisers to give back to the community who was welcomed us so warmly.
