As a 5/1 Reflector, counsellor & somatic EMDR practitioner, I weave Human Design & Gene Keys with deep healing practices.

Together we explore your unique journey of self-discovery, deconditioning & authentic connection

You don’t disappear because there is heat.
You disappear when you turn toward it.

Every time you orient your attention to pressure, urgency, emotional spikes, you start to lose form. Because attention is fuel.

Conditioning feeds on engagement.

From a Human Design lens, this can be an open centre trap.

The undefined solar plexus amplifies emotion.
The undefined will feels pressure to prove.
The undefined throat wants to respond just to relieve tension.
The mind wants to resolve what was never yours.

If you chase the flame, you evaporate.

If you stay with yourself, something else happens.

You feel the heat.
You don’t organise around it.
You don’t fix it.
You don’t explain yourself into exhaustion.

You remain differentiated.

From a therapy perspective, this is regulated non participation.

Not shutdown.
Not avoidance.
Coherent stillness.

When you do not match dysregulation, it cannot sustain itself.

You do not need to extinguish every fire.

Stay solid.

What is not aligned with your energy will burn out on its own.

TRUST!

There comes a moment in life when you realise you are no longer climbing to prove yourself.

You are climbing so you can turn around.

In this raw episode of Reflector Reflections, I speak honestly about ageing, generational shifts, and what it means to step into elderhood without stepping aside. This conversation was sparked by the 90s Reflectors I’ve been witnessing rise, and by my own reckoning with the truth that I cannot keep up with everything anymore.

And maybe I am not meant to.

Through the lens of Human Design, lived experience, and lineage, I explore the idea of becoming the bridge. Reaching down without rescuing. Offering wisdom without controlling. Listening without competing.

This is not about hierarchy.

It is about mentorship, respect, and remembering how we once held each other across generations.

If you are in your 20s or 30s, this is for you.

If you are in your 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond, this is also for you.

We do not replace each other.

We hold the bridge.

This new moon on 17 February at 28 degrees Aquarius feels less like a dramatic fresh start and more like a quiet recalibration of what actually matters.

Yes, it carries eclipse energy. Yes, it marks the beginning of the lunar new year. But beneath the headlines there’s something more intimate happening.

With the Sun in Gate 30, desire is visible and undeniable and longing doesn't feel subtle right now. It rises. It presses. It asks to be felt.

And with Pluto in Gate 41 forming the Channel of Recognition, that longing isn’t whimsical. It’s recognitional. Something in you knows what it wants to experience next, even if you’ve been trying to rationalise it away.

At the same time, the nodes in 37 and 40 bring attention to the tribal field, to loyalty, bargains, emotional contracts and the unspoken agreements that shape our choices.

There is pressure here, especially onto Gate 25, to remain innocent while also telling the truth. To want something new without betraying your heart.

What I find fascinating in this transit is that clarity may not arrive before movement. It may come because of movement. Even the smallest step, taken honestly, begins to reveal what is aligned and what is not.

With Saturn newly in Aries, inspiration is being asked to mature. Spark alone is not enough. Desire alone is not enough. There is an invitation to partner with the current rather than fight it or dissolve into it.

Presumably, I don't feel this is fantasy manifestation. It is desire meeting reality. Recognition meeting responsibility. A beginning that is less about bold declarations and more about quiet, conscious commitment.

Feel what is true. Begin from there.

I used to think love meant helping everyone become more like me.

Faster. Clearer. Certain.

Regulated in the way I understood regulation.

Then I met Human Design and something uncomfortable and beautiful happened.

I realised the people I love are not built like me.

👉My husband is designed for consistent access to energy and gut truth.
👉One child needs retreat before visibility.
👉One learns through experiment.
👉One knows in the moment.
👉One needs time for emotional clarity.
👉 And I'm over here doing reflector Annie s**t.

My job is not to correct their nature.
My job is to recognise it.

When people are met accurately, they soften.

Defence drops.
Trust grows.

This is the shift that has changed my marriage, my parenting, my friendships and my therapy work.

Less fixing.
More seeing.

I am curious. How has Human Design helped you understand yourself or the people you love?

Tell me what changed for you once you saw it.

Openness and sensitivity are often misunderstood as something to fix, manage, or harden against.

What if they are not problems at all.

What if they are signals.

Signals that help us recognise where safety is needed in our body, our relationships, our environments, and our pace of life.

When safety is present, openness stops feeling overwhelming and begins to transform into awareness, intuition, empathy, and deep connection.

Each centre in our design carries its own sensitivity. Each one also holds wisdom about what safety looks like for that part of us.

This is an invitation to meet your openness with care instead of judgement.

To listen to your sensitivities as guidance instead of weakness.

To allow safety to become the gateway through which your openness can expand rather than contract.

Your sensitivity is not asking you to toughen up, bruh!, instead, it's asking you to feel safe enough to stay open.

If you are learning to honour your sensitivity instead of fighting it, you do not have to do that work alone.

Sharing safe space for people navigating openness, nervous system overwhelm, and Human Design integration is a core part of my therapy work. My door is open if you feel drawn to explore this more deeply.

I hear this a lot.
“Oh, I don’t have a sacral.”
“Oh, the defined sacrals.”

Said like a diagnosis.
Or an insult.
Or the explanation for exhaustion.

Human Design was never meant to become a language of blame.
And therapy was never meant to remove agency.

An open or undefined sacral does not mean you lack life force.
It means your energy is variable and contextual.

What exhausts sensitives and non sacral beings is rarely other people’s energy.

It’s staying too long.
Ignoring early body signals.
Saying yes past capacity.
Waiting until resentment or collapse forces an exit.

Aligned generator energy isn’t invasive. It’s gloriously regulating.

Sensitivity isn’t the issue here, what is is unmanaged openness.

And from my therapy room this week, from the conversations I’ve had and what I’ve witnessed, I want to say this clearly.

To you, my beautiful Generators.
You are not the problem.

Your aliveness is not too much.
Your desire is not intrusive.
Your consistency is not harmful.

You are not here to manage other people’s nervous systems.
And you do not need to dim yourself so others can avoid learning their own limits.

This might sound heretical to some.
That’s usually a sign it’s touching something true.

I’ve written more on this and unpacked it fully through both a Human Design and psychotherapy lens.

The full blog is in my bio as writing lately feels correct for me.

Full moon • 2 February
Leo at 13°
This isn’t a full moon post...It’s a reality post and I'm enjoying doing them.

As we move into this full moon, we leave Human Design Gate 19 and enter Gate 13, line 1.
From sensitivity and need… into listening and witnessing.

Gate 13 doesn’t rush expression.
It asks us to hear the stories we’ve been carrying, and notice which ones are no longer ours to hold.

With Neptune and Saturn activating Gate 25, something deeper is also shifting.
Idealism is being stripped back.
Love is being lived rather than imagined.

This Leo full moon isn’t about being seen.
It’s about seeing yourself clearly, without performance.

Sit with it.
Listen more than you speak.
Let what’s no longer true fall away.

Working as a therapist, I sit with a lot of different nervous systems. Different bodies. Different ways energy moves, stalls, or overloads.

Human Design has been a useful framework for me in that work. Not as a rulebook, but as a way of noticing patterns in real time. Especially with reflectors and how they interact with other types.

These slides came from that place. Observations I’ve made again and again in sessions, in relationships, in everyday life. What the body feels when things are aligned. What shows up when they’re not.

This isn’t a teaching series or a product. It’s just noticing. And sharing.

There’s a lot of information out there right now. Some of it helpful. Some of it very loud and just fkn WRONG!

Learn slowly. Learn wisely. And let your body be part of how you decide what’s true for you.

New moon • 19 January
28° Capricorn

New moons are often framed as a time to set intentions, plant seeds etc...This one asks for something quieter IMO

The sun, moon, mercury, and mars are all activating Human Design Gate 60.
The pressure of limitation.
The invitation to acceptance.

This new moon isn’t about forcing beginnings. It’s about noticing where life is saying NOT yet, and allowing that to be informative rather than frustrating.

What’s interesting here is the timing.

Venus is already in Gate 41, the gate of beginnings. The feeling of something wanting to start is present, even while we’re still sitting inside constraint.

And in the days that follow this new moon, the sun and other inner planets move into Gate 41 as well.

So there’s a natural shift.
From acceptance… into...

No rush.
No push.
Just timing.

This new moon invites us to listen rather than act.
To let acceptance stabilise the ground before anything begins.

Sit with it.

05/01/2026

We give the algorithm a lot of blame, but the truth is we have far more control over our inputs than we like to admit. What shows up in our feed is not neutral, and it is not harmless. It is exposure, and exposure shapes how our nervous system feels long before we realise it.

If an account consistently leaves you feeling anxious, pressured, behind, or subtly on edge, you are allowed to unfollow it. You do not need a dramatic reason. You do not need to make it mean anything about them. You are simply responding to what your body is telling you.

Your attention is currency, but your nervous system is the one paying the cost. Every scroll is a choice about what you let in, what you amplify, and what you ask your body to carry.

So this year, I am using the unfollow and "not interested" buttons with more intention. Not out of judgement, but out of care. If something takes my peace, I step away quietly.

Unfollowing is not rejection. It is regulation. And your nervous system is not a public service.

May you feel peace more often than pressure...

Nerd alert. Do you love stats like I do?

A few years back I went deep into Human Design numbers. Reflector birth windows. Profiles. Incarnation crosses. The years Reflectors arrived in clusters and the years they were almost absent. From the 1930s right through to what’s still unfolding ahead. Once you start looking this way, you can’t unsee the patterns.

This is why this lights me up.

I am unsure if you have visited the site, but Jovian Archive have put together some seriously good Human Design stats. Types. Profiles. Crosses. All the nerdy layers that add context to what we’re actually living and breathing.

For me, stats don’t take the magic out of Human Design. They anchor it. They show where energy becomes common. Where it becomes rare. Where conditioning ramps up. Where certain themes move through the collective in waves. I've got a 1st line body after all.

I’m sharing a few screenshots here and giving full credit where it’s due.

If you enjoy this stuff even half as much as I do, go check out the stats pages yourself. Wander. Click. Notice what jumps out. Let the data meet your lived experience.

Human Design gets richer when curiosity leads.

Thanks
