I am now officially on a break ! Phew you all say Sam needed one 😉🎄it’s true 🤭 this will also mean socials could be fewer over this break period. I hope you all have a wonderful break and I shall be back in clinic in the new year to be ready for post Xmas new year ,stressors and stories.

Spleen 6 has a big uterus connection is one of its major uses, (not all about the uterus ) all 3 yin channels meet at this point, so it is a good point for tonifying yin in the menstrual cycle we are regulating. How long would it take to regulate a menstrual cycle ? Usually in general period problems we would say about 3-4 cycles. As always treatment depends on individual cases and causes. It is a point contraindicated in pregnancy until at least 37-40+ weeks.

Tis the season of summer, the time of utmost yang, growth and heat. There are 4 organs of summer the heart (Yin)small intestine (Yang) pericardium (yin) Sanjiao (Yang) the sense organ is the tongue and we may recognise the bitter taste. The tissue for summer is the vessels and emotion is joy and laughing. Keeping cool is our goal and eating more cooling foods such as watermelon. Yang rises as an energy.
It is a good time to have acupuncture and to prepare for Xmas lunches.
