✨ Why I Work Differently ✨

When you sit down with me — whether in counselling, coaching, or a workshop — you’re not just getting one approach. You’re getting a blend.

🌿 Counselling — as a qualified counsellor, I offer a safe, therapeutic space to listen deeply, untangle challenges, and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. It’s about feeling seen, being heard, and supported. I’m committed to best practice through regular clinical supervision and ongoing study.

🌿 Coaching — I’ve trained as an executive and organisational coach at the tertiary level, and I integrate those evidence-based tools to help you set intentions, build confidence, and take practical steps toward change.

🌿 Health Research & Medical Education — drawing on decades of experience as a health and medical educator, health researcher, and science communicator. Trained first as a biomedical scientist and then as an epidemiologist, with years of experience in fitness, health, and wellbeing, I translate evidence-based research into simple, usable strategies that make sense in real life.

I bring together compassion, clarity, and practical know-how so you can move from overwhelm and exhaustion… to energy, insight, and momentum.

Because it’s not just about talking. It’s about feeling seen, being heard, learning skills, making shifts, and walking away with the tools to feel better and live well.

When your hormones shift, so does everything else — your energy, focus, and even your sense of self.

Maybe you’re exhausted no matter how much you rest.
Maybe your moods swing or your patience disappears overnight.
Maybe you’ve noticed brain fog, disrupted sleep, or that sense of being in a body that no longer feels like your own.

If you’re navigating perimenopause, menopause, or post-menopause, these changes can feel confusing, isolating, and at times overwhelming — especially when life and work keep demanding more.

You’re not alone, and you’re not imagining it. 💛

I work a little differently. ✨
When you sit down with me — whether for counselling or coaching — you’re not just getting one approach. You’re getting a blend. I draw on decades of experience as a health and medical educator, epidemiologist, and biomedical scientist, alongside my training in counselling and executive coaching.

This means your sessions are grounded in both compassion and evidence — combining therapeutic support, practical coaching tools, and science-informed strategies for women’s health, stress, sleep, hormones, and energy. My role is to help you make sense of what’s happening in your body and mind, and to give you realistic, usable strategies that fit your life.

I’ve opened a few extra Telehealth counselling and coaching appointments over the next few weeks for women who need space to pause, reset, and regain focus before the year ends.

Today’s ceramics workshop on face carving was absolutely fabulous!

Huge thanks to Di from Mud Of Moon — I can’t recommend her classes enough. Di is a wonderful teacher: she breaks each step into simple, achievable actions and creates such a calm, confident space to learn in.

Here’s a progress shot of my Green Man wall plaque — I love him! 💚

He already feels perfect as he is, but since I attend weeknight classes at The Makers’ Meet at The Studio with Carys Martin Ceramics, I have the luxury of refining him a little more if I choose. I’m sitting with that… maybe he needs a twiggy crown and some berries… or maybe, just maybe, he’s done. 🌿
