The loss of oestrogen beyond menopause leaves a woman increasingly susceptible to bone fractures. šŸ‘©šŸ½ā€šŸ¦±

Peak bone mass is at age 30 for women, so if you’re a young woman it’s never too early to support your bone health now and for the future. šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

What women can do to reduce the risk of fracture is use diet and lifestyle to support their bones! 🦓
• Building muscle not only strengthens bones but supports healthy bone remodelling by reducing the likelihood of insulin resistance.

• Preventing insulin resistance which increases fracture risk. This can be done through balanced diets (protein, fats, carbs, fibre) in every meal to avoid glucose spikes šŸŽ¢.
And of course, eating less refined sugar.

•Consider supplementing Vitamin K and D3 which is a synergistic combination to protect bones against fractures.

• Ensuring a healthy circadian rhythm as bone remodelling takes place during sleep. 😓

There is so much talk about low-carb, no carb, keto diets, but how many carbs are there in certain foods and what is a healthy amount to be eating everyday? ...

Cereals are refined flour and corn and the body sees them as simple sugars that are absorbed at rapid speed. What’s wrong with that?

The problem is mass amounts of sugar entering the bloodstream at a rapid pace, now insulin has to come in and mop up the mess by letting the sugar into cells - think of it like insulin is ringing a door bell on the cell.

If this happens consistently, insulin has to ring the doorbell on a frequent basis and after a while the doorbell just doesn’t work the same and the cell doesn’t realise glucose is at the door. This leads to insulin resistance which is the precursor to type II diabetes.

But, not only is insulin resistance a problem - it’s also the immediate effects blood sugar spikes have on the body.

• brain fog
• fatigue and lethargy
• blurry vision
• increased thirst and urination
• mood disturbance

Are you experiencing these symptoms every day because you’re consuming cereal for breakfast?

With a simple diet switch, you can experience the day with more energy, stable moods and a switched-on brain.

What food should you focus on? Protein-rich breakfasts. This will:
• increase the transit time of food through the stomach to the small intestine so that sugar isn’t rapidly absorbed.
• satiate you until lunchtime so you don’t experience brain fog, lethargy etc.

Stuck for protein-rich breakfast ideas? I’ve got you covered. On my website is a free downloadable recipe book solely focused on protein-rich brekkies. Just head to the link in my bio!

A must read. Fear equals stress equals a weakened immune system equals susceptibility to all kinds of illnesses. Eat better, exercise, find a way to manage stress, forge social connections, find things that give you joy…this is the key to health.

With each passing day we feel vindicated.

This program has done its best to call for calm during the pandemic.

Last year we urged our political leaders to stop ignoring the hidden consequences of lockdowns.

In a bid to keep us safe - people were suffering in other ways.

And we’ve been giving you a regular dose of perspective.

We know COVID-19 is serious.

But it doesn’t warrant the fear campaign we’ve been seeing…

Today - we have further proof…

This isn’t opinion.

It’s certified data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

If you miss it - don’t worry - we have put this up on 2GB.com

And before we start- I just want to be clear.

Every death is tragic.

I don’t mean any disrespect.

But we also know - death is part of life.

So let me tell you what’s happened over the last two years.

From March 2020… until the end of January 2022…

273,901 Australians died.

0.9% had coronavirus.

That’s 2,639 COVID related deaths.

In that same period- about 100,000 Australians died of cancer.

30,000 died from heart disease.

Another 30,000 with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

And 10,000 from Diabetes.

Coronavirus deaths represented less than 1% of fatalities.

These are the latest numbers.

Released yesterday by the Australian Bureau of Statistics…

The median age of those who died with coronavirus was 81 for men.

86 for women.

Both… are above our national life expectancy.

Again- let me be clear.

I’m not playing down the situation.

Or ignoring the grief of families.

But these records expose the overblown scare campaign we’ve witnessed.

Of our 2,639 coronavirus deaths between March 2020 and last month…

92% had other underlying health issues.

An average of roughly 3 diseases or conditions per person.

These ranged from pneumonia to kidney infection…

Right up to the biggest risk factor - heart health.

35% of those people had a chronic heart issue.

Another 20 percent had Diabetes.

But in 92% of our Covid deaths to January 31… each patient had roughly 3 other underlying health conditions.

In other words… it wasn’t just Covid that claimed their lives…

And deaths not involving Covid... make up more than 99% of the statistics..

One of the arguments we made last year involved a missed opportunity around the ā€˜health adviceā€.

Why weren’t we telling people to ā€˜get healthy’,..

Why weren’t we warning people…. That one of the biggest risk factors - is carrying too much weight…

Were we worried about fat shaming ?

Because every day we were being told about the ā€˜health advice’...

But the biggest health advice should have been - the healthier you are… the greater your chance of surviving Covid.

There is now compelling international data that supports this.

A new study in medical magazine The Lancet shows by far the biggest risk factor of COVID-19… is obesity.

Largely because, an obese patient has poor lung capacity- making it harder for them to receive ventilation.

The US has nearly the heaviest Body Mass Index in the world.

They now have nearly a million coronavirus deaths - 920,000.

16 of their States have adult obese rates of more than 35 percent.

Those States… are all in the top 20 places for COVID deaths anywhere.

The Lancet study says if America’s obesity levels were on par with healthier nations… the death toll would be far lower.

Almost 20 percent of deaths could have been avoided.

That equates to… to almost 200,000 lives.

What a missed opportunity.

We were hell bent on telling people to ā€˜stay home’...

When we should have been encouraging people to get outdoors and get healthy…

And now the consequences are there for all to see.

Thankfully, we gave airtime to several experts who gave this common sense advice…

If you’re overweight or smoking - you’re putting yourself in greater danger..

And you’re more likely to be in the 1% of Australians who died with coronavirus.

That’s right…. 1%.

If you need any further evidence that it’s time to ā€˜get on with our lives’.. you just heard it….

Keeping yourself locked up in your home…. And being afraid of getting outdoors and being active…. Is a health hazard !
