We’ve introduced a NEW shower bed to make accessing our hydrotherapy pool more accessible and more comfortable for those who need extra support. It can be used under the shower and can be pushed into the change room for changing with dignity. This mean more people can benefit from hydrotherapy even if access to the pool is usually limited.

It’s all about making our facilities more accessible so you can focus on your rehab with confidence.

Michael Gilbert - Occupation: Retired!
The man about town at Fizzio for Life has stepped down from treating after 20 years of physiotherapy (and many more years of work prior). He will still be seen occasionally around the clinic but it is time for fishing, naps and family time!

NDIS changes

We normally don’t post publicly on these issues but at the moment there are some egregious political moves afoot to justify both stringent and damaging cuts to the care of people needing NDIS support, and also to justify the implementation of a potentially life threatening introduction of AI implementation for NDIS plans with the removal of appeals.

Our participants, who are real people with significant needs for therapies, supports and other interventions are at risk. We know this first hand based on our everyday experience.

While the NDIS does need reform, this is not the reform it needs. Many health professionals, ourselves included continue to do a lot of work for free because we care about the welfare of our participants. Maligning our work is a ploy to paint villains to justify cuts.
