We share these not to encourage overeating - but to take the guilt out of occasions like Easter where there are probably going to be a few extra calories consumed

It can also help make sense of any overnight weight spikes you might see on the scales.

More often than not, that’s water retention and other factors at play - not fat gain

I don’t think it’s an absolute game changer, but if you regularly add sugar/honey to sweeten things, I feel like you may as well choose raw honey šŸÆ

It keeps all the natural enzymes, pollen, antioxidants, and micro-organisms that bees put into it, so you do get nutrients benefits that other honey wouldn’t provide

With most ā€˜pure’ or regular honeys - they get heated so it has a smooth/clear appearance and to extend the shelf life. This process removes a fair amount of the nutrition

When looking for swaps to help with fat loss, you want to look for foods that are:

-Lower in calories
-Higher in volume
-More filling

For these swaps though, they don’t really tick any of these boxes...

So I wouldn’t bother wasting your energy or money unless you actually prefer the alternative

If you consistently have low energy in the arvos, this could be a reason

Poor sleep will have a trickle down effect into so many things.

-People consume more calories when tired
-Lose more muscle and less fat on the same calorie deficit
-Increased visceral (belly fat)
-Increase risk of injury / illness
-Less focus

I could go on really

So this is my general rule of thumb for how to manage it
