Let the body float, the mind release and movement do its quiet healing.

We’d love to see you in the studio 🤍 and to help you enjoy the in-between days without worrying too much about what day it is — we’ve kept it simple, with morning classes running most days.

We’re taking a little festive pause on all public holidays to give our amazing team the break they deserve.

Morning classes will run on:

We’re back to our full timetable from 5 January.

Continuing to learn - so we can continue to support you ❤️

This week’s Safe Return to Exercise session with was a powerful reminder that all mothers are considered post-partum forever - and that safe, informed movement matters at every age and stage.

Key reminders we’re bringing into our teaching:
• Post-partum looks different for everyone
• Pelvic floor issues can present in anyone, not just mothers and can present in different ways
• Continued learning helps us support women safely and effectively

Meet Katie 🧘‍♀️ Yoga Teacher at BodyLife ✨

☕️ Tea or coffee? Coffee always!
🐶 Cats or dogs? Dogs! I have two Golden Retrievers.
🍭 Sweet or salty? Both please! Balance is everything.
🧘‍♀️ Favourite style to teach? I love guiding flowing, breath-led movement. Simple, empowering sequences.

💪 Favourite movement for my own body?
After knee surgeries and lower-back injuries, hip mobility and core strength are my non-negotiables - so you’ll find a little pigeon pose or a juicy hip opener in most of my classes.

🫶What I find rewarding about this work: Yoga has helped me through some of the toughest physical and mental seasons of my life. Being able to hold space where people can recharge, recenter and reconnect is a privilege.

✨My background and how I found yoga: I first got into yoga for ‘just a stretch,’ but the more I practiced and studied - the more it helped me find balance in my life.

🌲What I do in my spare time: Beach days, pottering around home with my husband and our woofs, and soaking up the beauty of Pullenvale. Every morning starts with our sliding door open, listening to the birds - it’s pure magic. ✨

It’s time I reintroduced myself. I’m Amanda, owner and Pilates instructor! A bit about me:

☕️ Tea or Coffee: Coffee, but I try to keep it to 2 a day. Also, have you tried the Vietnamese iced coffee from .cafe
🐶 Cats or Dogs: Dogs, I’ve got a 12yr old Border Collie Kelpie X
🍟 Sweet or Salty: I have a weakness for hot chips and chicken salt
🪑 Favourite exercises to teach: I love working on the Wunda Chair these days, especially lower body work and balance
💪 Favourite exercise to do: I’m loving the short box abdominal series on the reformer, it’s a great series to really check in with your progress!
💚 Favourite colour: Green...the studio colour has now crept over into my home

✨Who would you like to work with in the equipment studio and why? In my private sessions, I enjoy working with people who are new to exercise or returning after a break, no matter the reason. Helping them build strength and achieve things in their everyday lives that they previously couldn’t is incredibly rewarding

✨What’s your background, and how did you find Pilates? I don’t consider myself a natural mover; I’m a bit uncoordinated, I wasn’t a sporty kid. But I knew I needed to do something as an adult. I made donations to many gyms through the years. And then I did my first reformer class and I was hooked. From there, I went through teacher training within a year or so, and then into a DIploma qualification the following year, and I’ve never looked back!

✨What do you do in your free time if you manage to get any? I try to get in my own Pilates practice, I’ve been working on some Pilates and movement-related goals this year. I love to eat and drink, spend time with my dog, and I think the odd Netflix-binge-day is good for the soul 🙏

Meet Adrienne - from International dance stages to the Pilates studio 🩰💃

Adrienne spent 13 years touring the world as a professional contemporary dancer and now shares her love of movement and mindful strength through Pilates.

☕️ Tea or coffee? Coffee

Favourite exercises to teach: I could teach Pelvic Curl (Bridges) all day. There’s a million different variations.

Favourite exercises for yourself: Swan on the High Barrel or Monkey Stretch on the Cadillac

Favourite colour: Green 💚

Who would you like to work with in the equipment studio and why?
Anybody! People brand new to Pilates or super experienced movers, in all physicalities. There’s always so much to learn and play with.

What’s your background, and how did you find Pilates?
I first came across Mat Pilates in ballet school and used many of the principles throughout my dance career. Pilates played a huge role in returning to movement postnatally and inspired me to learn more by training as an instructor, at which point I started to realise how much there is to keep learning, and the joy of sharing that with others.

What do you find rewarding about your job?
I love seeing people find confidence and connection to their bodies through movement.

What do you do in your free time?
Outside the studio you’ll usually find me chasing (or dragging) my kids up Mt. Coot-tha, learning to ride my bike or drinking drinking coffee.
