MOVE-mber Day 14: Natural light before Screens

Stop looking at your phone first thing in the morning.
Here’s why:

Your body runs on light signals.

Sunlight tells your hormones how to wake up, think, digest, burn energy, and feel.
But when the FIRST light you see is your phone or a bright room light, your body gets the wrong signal.
Wrong signal → confused hormones → tired, wired, hungry, moody, and out of rhythm.
Step outside for at least a few minutes of natural light BEFORE anything else.
No sunglasses.
Let the sun lead your body.
Sun before screens.
Natural light resets your whole system.

MOVE-mber Day 13 - grounding as movement.

One of my favorite things to do is lie with my bare belly on the beach sand…it’s my favourite form of grounding.

Did you know that grounding is a powerful form of movement?

When your body touches natural earth, there’s an exchange: the earth’s electrical charge moves into the body, and at the same time the earth draws out tension, stress, inflammation, and emotional buildup. That back-and-forth flow is movement. It shifts the body’s internal state, clears blockages, and creates space for the whole system to reset.

Did you know the Bible even reflects this too, saying the earth “swallows iniquity,” which is our disease, struggle and symptoms?

Did you know grounding is one of the missing elimination pathways , a natural way for the body to release what it’s been trying to let go of.

And dont think grounding only works at the beach.

Grass, soil, sand, or rock all work. Put your body on the earth and let the movement happen through the exchange.

Movement doesn’t always look like a workout…..sometimes it starts with the smallest muscle that affects the biggest systems.

The tongue connects to your diaphragm, hips, and your knees through the body’s fascial line.
So when you move it - circles, stretches, figure-eights - you’re not just moving your mouth…..you’re freeing the whole chain.

This simple exercise helps reset tension, opens breathing, drains lymph, and calms the nervous system.

Health lives in movement- sometimes it’s the smallest one that change everything.
