A big thank you to all of our amazing colleagues who joined us on Saturday (in person and online) for our annual Music Beat Symposium!

We were privileged to hear from Anita Connell (PhD), Stacey Dowling (RMT), Kelsey Passlow (RMT), Chantelle Fulton (RMT), Chare Walton (RMT), Anna Kirkman (RMT), and Kate Fletcher-Becroft (RMT). We spent time reflecting and discussing all that we learnt throughout the day, as well as catching up with our colleagues and friends.

We look forward to building on the conversations started at the Music Beat Symposium and continuing to collaborate with our community in the months ahead ✨

You don’t need musical training to support your child through music. Simple activities like singing, clapping, or listening together can be powerful! 🎶👏👩‍🎤

Music can support routines, transitions, and emotional regulation at home. What matters most is shared experience, not musical ability.

Music supports more than musical skills!

Through rhythm, sound, and movement, children develop communication, attention, and emotional awareness. These skills extend beyond music into everyday learning and relationships. Engaging with music allows children to learn in ways that feel natural and enjoyable.

At Music Beat Australia, we believe music meets children where they are. Every child engages with music differently, and each response is meaningful. Our focus is on connection, safety, and participation before outcomes. Music is used as a tool to support confidence, communication, and wellbeing ✨🎶

Our Story

Kids Music Beat (the home of Boppin’ Babies) is a music early learning program designed by a Registered and tertiary qualified music therapist and early childhood education researcher.

Our program is designed to help babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers grow into happy, confident children. It nurtures development, fosters a love of music and helps you to use music in the home. Having fun through musical play and taking joy in your child’s musical expression is central to our program. All music is played live by our Registered Music Therapists.
