So excited to be assisting today — marking the very first day that Nurse Practitioners can bill MBS items for surgical assisting!

This is such a significant milestone for our profession. A huge thank you to Toni Hains and all the incredible NPs who fought tirelessly to make this possible. Your advocacy, persistence, and dedication have paved the way for us to be rightfully recognised and remunerated for our expert contributions to surgical care.

Here’s to progress, recognition, and the continued evolution of Nurse Practitioner practice in Australia! 💪✨

I am very proud to announce that I will be the next President of the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners!

This is truly one of the greatest honours of my career.

I would like to sincerely thank my fellow board members for your confidence in me, and for your dedication and hard work throughout what has been a demanding and eventful year. I am genuinely excited to collaborate with such a talented and committed team as we continue to advance the vision and values of our College.

To our members — thank you for your trust and engagement. Your support in this election has made this moment possible, and I am deeply grateful.

As we look ahead, I encourage all of you to continue engaging actively with the College. Your ideas, energy, and expertise are essential as we shape the future together. This new board is eager to listen, to innovate, and to ensure that every member feels empowered to contribute to the continued growth and success of our organisation.
