As the weather warms up, so does the activity of bees looking for new homes - and unfortunately, unprotected weep holes in brick walls are prime real estate.

A few years ago, we shared a story about a Brisbane homeowner who discovered a bee swarm entering her wall cavity through an unprotected weep hole. Thanks to quick action and the help of a local beekeeper, the bees were safely relocated, and Weepa's 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀 were installed to prevent future infestations.

Our accounts lady had quite the 𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 this week - a 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 curled up under her kitchen table! 🫣 It gave her a fright, but thankfully it was just passing through and no one (including the snake) was harmed.

With warm weather rolling in, snakes are becoming more active - especially in suburban areas near bushland or gardens. If you're doing your spring cleaning or enjoying the outdoors, keep an eye out!
