It's day two of the 2026 Preventive Mental Health Conference, hosted by Public Health Association of Australia and Prevention United.

Yesterday was just the beginning of powerful insights, real stories, and evidence-informed strategies, all centred on one shared goal: Doing better and working together to promote and protect the mental health and wellbeing of people across Australia. We can't wait to see what today brings!

As an Affiliation Sponsor, Open Minds is proud to be here alongside other researchers, advocates, and service providers committed to early intervention and preventive mental health care.

We’re at Novotel Parramatta today, come and find us to connect with the team.

Three Days. Hundreds of conversations. Lots of new ideas to take back to the office.

Our team was at the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Conference on the Gold Coast this week, alongside clinicians, researchers, educators, and people with lived experience from across Australia and New Zealand.

The conversations were honest, the sessions were grounding, and the connections made reminded us why this work matters.

Thank you to the Australian & New Zealand Mental Health Association for bringing the sector together.

This Conference has provided new ideas, opportunities to strengthen relationships across the sector and has renewed our sense of purpose.

Mental health touches every community, every culture, every background.

On Harmony Day, we celebrate the diversity of the people we walk alongside and our shared commitment to recovery, connection, and belonging for all Australians.

Happy Harmony Day.

This week is Neurodiversity Celebration Week, and it's a timely reminder of something we hold at the core of our work at Open Minds.

Neurodivergent people are not defined by their challenges. They bring unique perspectives, strengths and contributions to every community they're part of. Our role is to provide support that recognises and builds on those strengths, not to fit people into a one-size-fits-all model.

We were in Canberra yesterday and what a day!

Our team had an amazing time at the Mental Health Australia Expo 2026 at Parliament House, connecting with passionate people from across Australia who are all working toward the same goal — better mental health support for everyone.
It was such a great reminder of why we do what we do.

Big shoutout to our team on the ground — you were incredible. And thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat. These moments really do make a difference.
