For women with PCOS, Myo-inositol is often discussed as a supplement that may support insulin balance, ovulation, and fertility. It is frequently compared with Metformin because both can influence metabolic pathways linked to reproductive hormones.

In this new YouTube episode, I explain how it works and when it may be useful in fertility preparation. Watch here: https://youtu.be/HkQ1dCct9Bk

April can still bring fresh starts, even if the journey feels heavy.
A little more courage for another IVF cycle.
A little more strength in the waiting.
A few lighter moments.
A little more hope that stays.

Preparing for IVF is not only about supplements. Food also plays an important role in supporting egg health during the months before treatment.

Salmon provides omega 3 fats, eggs provide choline and protein, berries supply antioxidants, avocado offers healthy fats, pumpkin seeds contribute zinc and magnesium, and leafy greens provide folate for DNA support.

These simple foods help build a stronger nutritional foundation before your next cycle.

Many women are told their glucose is normal, yet their insulin levels are never checked properly. This matters because insulin can influence hormone balance, ovulation, egg health, embryo development, and implantation long before glucose becomes abnormal.

In this new YouTube episode, I explain why testing insulin levels may uncover an important missing piece in fertility care. Watch here: https://youtu.be/HkQ1dCct9Bk

IVF can feel overwhelming when you are doing everything you can, yet still not getting clear answers. Our Two-Phase IVF Nutrition Audit is designed to help identify nutrition gaps that may be influencing egg health, fertilisation, embryo development, and implantation.

In Phase 1, we review your blood work, supplement regimen, fertility history, and lifestyle factors. In Phase 2, you receive a personalised nutrition plan tailored to your stage of IVF.

This gives you a clearer direction before your next cycle. Click to learn more: https://catherinechong.com.au/discoverycall/

Preparing for IVF often means focusing on scans, medications, and timelines, but blood work can reveal important clues that are often missed.

Our free IVF Prep Lab Checklist outlines the key tests worth reviewing before your next cycle, covering nutrients, hormones, genetics, and microbiome markers that may influence egg health, embryo development, and implantation.

Many women preparing for IVF are told their glucose looks normal, yet silent insulin resistance may still be affecting egg quality, embryo development, and implantation behind the scenes. This happens when the body keeps blood sugar normal by making extra insulin, and standard tests often miss it.

In this new YouTube episode, I explain why this matters for IVF success and what signs to look for earlier. Watch the full episode here: https://youtu.be/HkQ1dCct9Bk

If you are going through IVF with low AMH and concerns about empty follicles, it is understandable to focus on numbers. But nutrition support should also focus on the environment surrounding egg development. As an IVF dietitian, I individualise support in three key areas.

The first is mitochondrial energy because egg cells require significant energy to mature and grow.

Second is blood sugar control because stable insulin and glucose patterns help support hormone balance and follicle growth.

Third is antioxidant support, as oxidative stress may affect egg development and overall cycle quality.

The goal is not simply chasing more eggs, but creating the best possible environment for the eggs you do have. If you would like to explore how we can work together, book your free IVF Rescue Call here: https://catherinechong.com.au/discoverycall/

Blood sugar and IVF outcomes may be linked more than you have been told. Silent insulin resistance means your body is keeping glucose normal by making extra insulin in the background, even when routine blood tests look reassuring.

This matters because excess insulin can affect hormone balance, egg development, embryo quality, and implantation. It is not only seen in women with PCOS or higher body weight. We also see this in women with normal BMI and regular cycles. If you have experienced failed embryo transfers or poor embryo development, this may be worth understanding.

IVF is more than medications and appointments. It is an emotional journey that asks women to carry hope as they navigate uncertainty. Many patients feel pressure to control every detail, compare themselves with others, or believe they must do everything perfectly to succeed.

The reality is that fertility journeys rarely follow the timeline we once imagined. If you are going through IVF right now, give yourself permission to release some of that pressure.

You are doing something incredibly hard and brave.
