Meet ACTIV’s Managing Director, Professor Harry McConnell! 👋

Harry is deeply passionate about improving the lives of Australian Veterans and their families.

His experience in both neurology and psychiatry makes him widely recognised as an expert in traumatic brain injury and trauma care. Harry has over 30 years of experience supporting and treating Veterans from Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and the USA; across conflicts from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam to Iraq and Afghanistan 🌍

Through decades of working closely with Veterans and conducting DVA assessments, Harry saw the need for a more holistic approach to Veteran care. His extensive experience inspired the creation of multidisciplinary treatment programs focused on recovery, resilience, and overall well-being.

Harry and the ACTIV team have strong ties to the ADF along with a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by those who have served 🇦🇺

ACTIV were proud to be given the opportunity to sponsor of the Veteran Games. It was inspiring to see so many incredible people competing on the Gold Coast last weekend! 🧗‍♂️

We were there to cheer on the veterans as they took part in a range of military-style events, showcasing teamwork, resilience, and determination.

The Veteran Games bring together ex-service personnel to connect as a community, find purpose, and celebrate elements of military identity, all while promoting better mental and physical health outcomes for current and future generations of Australian veterans.
