Today's First Aid For Life tip is how to respond to a febrile convulsion 👶
A rapid rise in body temperature can cause convulsions. This occurs most often in children aged 6 months to 5 years.
During a febrile convulsion;
1. Place the child on their side.
2. DO NOT attempt to restrain the child or cool the child by sponging or bathing.
3. Do remove excess clothing.
After a febrile convulsion has finished, follow DRSABCD and seek medical aid.
