Ever since my journey with breast cancer, I am focusing more on how I want to feel as I go about my day. Being more present, appreciating all of the abundance around me, and all of the abundance to come and feeling empowered, are themes for me in 2024.

Here's a little bit more of my story with MetaPWR.....

MetaPWR has radically changed my life…..

In June last year I was diagnosed with stage 2 triple negative breast cancer at the age of 38, after finding the lump myself in a breast check. I started on chemo pretty quickly and had 16 rounds in total - 4 of which are nicknamed the ‘red devil’.
I chose to have a bilateral mastectomy in December, due to having a BRCA1 gene mutation. My first chemo caused me to go into menopause straight away and my hot flushes were incredibly intense. I lost all of my hair and had absolutely no energy to play with my 4 year old daughter Luna. I spent about 7 months in a bit of a treatment bubble and hoped that I would feel better once it was all over.

I remember having my drains out and being told by the medical staff that I was all good, no evidence of disease and I could get back into life. I was WRECKED though….physically and emotionally. At the age of 39, chemotherapy and chemo induced menopause had left me with aching joints, a very sore body, massive mood swings, a very foggy brain, no libido, no hair, absolutely no energy and having no hope for getting my health back. I was told by others whom had also had similar treatment that I’d probably start feeling better in about a year!

I needed to start back at work as a Support Worker and I would work for a few hours and then come home absolutely wrecked and need to sleep the rest of the day. I was also having anywhere from 5 - 10 hot flushes every night, that were so intense that they would wake me up; so I was not sleeping much on top of that! So I put it out to the universe that I wanted to find something to help me….well pleaded really as I was pretty desperate to feel better!

🏋🏻 First back squats after a long time today and my squats are feeling so good! A few months ago trying to squat up and down was really hard (chemo stuffed up my joints!) - after having MetaPWR for a few months it’s amazing how much easier my body is moving.

Luna is excited to have just received her Kids Collection in our most recent order. Let’s face it….life for little and bigger ones is a lot more challenging nowadays. Kids need to have things in their toolkit, to help them navigate challenging situations.

Luna popped the Calmer blend on herself after her shower tonight, to aid in getting to bed easily and sleeping well. The Thinker blend will be a good one at lunch break after school, to help her focus on the afternoon activities. Plus I’m sure we could all do with a little Tamer blend at some time hey!!
