POV: not in the care plan… but still part of good care 💁‍♀️

Sometimes the most evidence-based thing we can do is step outside the routine and do something purely because it’s fun!!!
Not extra. Not indulgent. Necessary.
A regulated nervous system, a full cup, and a moment of joy? That’s how we keep showing up safely, compassionately, and sustainably and continuing to have care and consideration when we show up on the healthcare front lines 🫶
Look, maybe our Healthcare Hype Girl is born with it…
maybe it’s ✨saying yes to things that make life feel fun and remind you that you are LIVING!

Today’s intervention/social prescription: sandboarding 😂

Outcome: improved wellbeing, 100/10 would recommend 🏄‍♀️

If you’re switching nights to days and feeling wrecked, it’s not a personal flaw. It’s biology.

Anchor sleep, light cues, caffeine early, lower the bar on flip day.
What’s your best flip tip?

If you’re holding onto a mistake from placement, ask yourself this.
What would you say if a fellow student told you the same story?

Say that to yourself. That is how confidence grows back.

A quick peek at what we’re building.

A vault of shift and placement tools, scripts for hard conversations, “what do I do when” guides, audio pep talks, and a moderated Nurse-only community with clear boundaries.

Built to reduce cognitive load, not add homework.

If you’re showing up tired, overstimulated, and trying your best, it still counts.

You don’t need to be a perfect Nurse to be a safe Nurse.
You need support and systems.

If you needed this line today, save it.

Primary care Nurses and students do more than tasks.

You assess, translate, advocate, follow up, and hold people through uncertainty.

Comment one thing you do in clinics or community that people do not realise is Nursing.

When feedback stings, try this:
“What should I focus on first in my next few shifts?”

It turns shame into a plan.

I never knew that this experience was an option until a buddy Nurse believed in me and encouraged me to apply for my student placement with the Royal Flying Doctor Service - Queensland Section . Please don't make a decision in your mind that you are not capable of experiencing greatness because you're a student. If you want more info on my placement or some help in knowing what is out there and what options are available please reach out. Link is in the Bio

Are you worried about losing your clinical skills? Because you've gone into a different area of practice? Do you know that there's different ways that you can advance your clinical skills or obtain the education required to be current? If you don't, that's okay. That's exactly what The Scrub Hub is here for (info sharing!) but also just genuinely as a registered nurse aligned with my standards of practise, information that I'm really happy to share!

Three simple questions to help you debrief a hectic week.
→ What was heavy.
→ What helped.
→ What’s next.

It’s a simple debrief that stops your week following you into bed.
