February is all about heart health.

Throughout February, we are proud to support RedFeb, an important campaign dedicated to raising awareness of congenital and childhood heart disease.

This initiative plays a vital role in highlighting the experiences of those affected and in supporting ongoing research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.

On February 16th, our team is hosting a Sweethearts Day Morning Tea for HeartKids, a charity that holds a special place in our organisation. Read Mel's story here: https://sweetheartsforheartkids.org.au/herohearthux

If you're able, join us by wearing red this month and supporting RedFeb: https://www.redfeb.heartresearch.com.au/

🧡 November is CRPS Awareness Month 🧡

Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is a rare chronic pain condition that can cause severe, ongoing pain often following an injury or surgery. Those affected may experience symptoms that deeply impact their daily lives including, intense pain, skin sensitivity, swelling, sweating, changes in skin colour and temperature, and limb movement issues. Unfortunately there is no cure.

Early diagnosis and specialist treatment are key to effective management. More research is needed to better understand CRPS and develop new and improved treatment options.

Today, our team is wearing orange pins to support "Colour the World Orange for CRPS/RSD" Day.

The Liver Foundation has released new resources to help individuals better understand the diagnosis and management of liver cirrhosis.

We work in collaboration with Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist Dr Lay Gan from Hunter Gastroenterology.

Dr Gan has a keen interest in liver disease research and is actively involved in clinical research, serving as a principal investigator for multiple clinical trials focusing on the liver.

Our Philosophy

We believe our first responsibility is to our community; to provide a centre with the capabilities of linking local specialist doctors with appropriate clinical trial opportunities so our community has access to innovative technologies and potential treatments. We provide hope to our community by expanding available healthcare options.

For our participants; we believe in creating a positive experience through interactions with friendly, capable staff and approachable doctors. Participants will always be treated with great care and respect, with each human interaction being valued and each person being assessed for their individual needs to achieve quality outcomes for each person.

For our staff; we will work diligently to ensure our staff are supported in their complex roles, and provide opportunities for career growth. We will strive for the highest standards in everything we do and have a culture of open communication for continuous quality improvement. Our staff will enjoy health initiatives to provide a foundation for taking on new challenges and building innovative attitudes.

We are responsible to our clients and the projects we are fortunate enough to work on. Collectively, our team will provide quality data, exceed recruitment goals and be highly responsive in all interactions. Our client’s expectations will be exceeded and we will continue to experiment with new ideas to improve our services. We will always operate with integrity in our undertakings, committing to the highest quality output in the most efficient way.
