Let’s talk about how often you should actually get a massage.
This is one of those questions people ask a lot — usually right after their first session, when they feel amazing and say, “So… how often should I do this?” 😅
The truth is, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. It really depends on your body, your lifestyle, and what you want out of it. But here’s some real talk
😖 1️⃣ When you only book once you’re in pain
This is what most people do. You wait until your shoulders are rock solid, your back starts nagging, or stress builds up to a point where you can’t ignore it anymore. Then you book a “fix me” session and hope it sorts everything out.
And yes — that one massage can help a lot. But it’s kind of like trying to tidy up a house that hasn’t been cleaned in months… it takes time to get things back in order. You’ll feel better, but the tension usually creeps back faster if you don’t keep at it.
🌿 2️⃣ Once a month — the sweet spot for most people
For a lot of clients, a monthly massage is the perfect rhythm. It keeps your muscles loose, helps you stay ahead of tension, and gives your mind a proper reset.
If you work at a desk, exercise regularly, or just carry the usual life stress, this is enough to maintain rather than constantly “catch up.”
It’s like brushing your teeth — you don’t wait for a toothache to start brushing again. 🪥
💪 3️⃣ Weekly or fortnightly — when your body needs extra love
If you’re dealing with chronic pain, recovering from an injury, training hard, or doing repetitive physical work, weekly or fortnightly sessions can make a huge difference.
These aren’t “treat yourself” moments — they’re part of your body’s ongoing support plan. Many of our regulars who come weekly say it’s the one thing that keeps them moving well and sleeping better.
✨ The bottom line
Massage works best when it’s consistent — not just when things hurt. Even once a month can change how your body feels day to day. And if you’re not sure what’s right for you, that’s what we’re here for. We can chat, figure out what’s realistic for your lifestyle, and go from there. No pressure, no upselling. Just honest advice 🙏
