Motivate Kids

Motivate Kids Motivate Kids provides tailored OT for your child to be supported to unlock their greatest potential. We walk you through this process step-by-step.

At Motivate Kids we know the thing you want most right now is a clear plan of where your child is at, the journey to come and an idea of the destination. You too will learn along the way so that you can more confidently understand your child, their therapy plan and implement it too. You will gain clarity and have that feeling of “I’ve got this.”

You need someone who keeps everyone on the same page so that home and school, or kindy / child care, pull together in a way to create a therapeutic life for your child. Nothing will be missed along the way. So imagine that feeling when you see your child succeed at things they’ve never done before. To see them happy and engaged and to see that their progress overflows out of therapy and into their daily lives. This is all held together by someone who specialises in “sensory integration” Occupational Therapy. Someone who is as passionate about your child as you are. Someone who will challenge them “just enough” to make progress that is worth celebrating. This someone has to be fun, uplifting and bursting with knowledge. It is important for you to feel heard, appreciated and empowered as you undertake this journey and to be surrounded by a community of like-minded people who have your back. These people have not walked in your shoes but they sure have had their own journey. We can learn from each other and realise, we are not alone. Its time to stop surviving and start thriving. Having stability in life to release the pressure is essential. At Motivate Kids we know exactly where you are at right now and how to help you and your child move forward. After all, “it’s about supporting children to live their best lives” – Motivate Kids

📣 New Service! See your child’s world more clearly. So much of the conversation around children starts with behaviour. Restlessness, “big feelings”, avoidance, fatigue.

We notice what they’re doing, but the real game changer is understanding what their nervous system is working through in the background.

We’ve launched a new sensory assessment service at Motivate Kids to help answer exactly those questions.

Helping families see what’s happening@beneath the surface and giving you a clearer picture of how your child experiences the world and what supports them best.

Led by EASI certified occupational therapists these play based assessments use the gold standard evaluation in Ayres Sensory Integration to uncover meaningful insights that guide therapy learning and everyday life.

Our sensory assessments are for children aged 3 to 12 and are available now at Motivate Kids Broadview tap the link in our bio to learn more or comment “EASI” to have the link sent straight to you. 😊

So much of the conversation around children starts with behaviour. Restlessness. “Big feelings.” Avoidance. Fatigue. We notice what they’re doing, but the real game-changer is understanding what their nervous system is working through in the background.

Today, we’re so excited to launch a new, stand alone, Sensory Assessment Service at Motivate Kids to help answer exactly those questions.

Led by EASI-certified Occupational Therapists, these assessments use the Evaluation in Ayres Sensory Integration (EASI) to look at: sensory perception, postural control, bilateral integration & sequencing, praxis and sensory reactivity, all through carefully structured, play-based tasks.

The outcome is a detailed sensory profile that can be used to:
- inform occupational therapy and other allied health interventions
- guide classroom and playground supports
- contribute meaningful evidence to diagnostic and funding processes

It’s a tool designed not just for families, but for the whole team around the child - educators, paediatricians, support coordinators, and therapists working together. We provide a detailed handover to support to the child's ongoing therapist as needed.

Sensory Assessments are now available at our Broadview studio for children aged 3–12 years. To find out more visit our website! https://www.motivatekids.com.au/sensory-assessment/

Ohhhh! Tea! 😉 As OT Week comes to a close, we’re pausing to reflect on the heart of what we do and the incredible team who make it all possible.

Each session, each smile, each small step… builds something far bigger than we often see in the moment.
The foundations of growth, confidence, and connection are laid quietly, week by week through the consistency and care our team bring to every child and family.

Kobie shared so beautifully today:

“Sometimes what we do seems small and invisible in the moment, but over time transformation reveals itself. Each contact we have builds a foundation that might only be seen years from now.”

Thank you to every OT, every admin and reception team member, every therapy leader, every hand behind the scenes for showing up intentionally and wholeheartedly, every single day.

Because it’s the little things and the way we go above and beyond that change lives.

A note from Rochelle for today, World Occupational Therapy Day on what drives her passion for this amazing industry decades in!

“No two days are ever the same in Paediatric OT. One moment, you’re on the floor building a LEGO tower to strengthen fine motor skills; the next, you’re helping a parent have that ‘aha moment’ in understanding their child’s sensory world, or collaborating with a teacher to create a classroom where every learner can thrive.

Beyond the creativity and variety, what I love most is the privilege of seeing the whole person within the whole system and the quiet transformation that happens when someone begins to feel safe, capable, and valued in their body, in their world, in who they are.

Being an OT has shaped every part of me, as a learner, a leader, and a human. When we help someone feel seen and supported, we don’t just change their day - we change their world. 🌍”

At Motivate Kids, we see this truth lived out every day, through the care, creativity, and compassion of our incredible team.

Happy World OT Day to every OT changing the world, one small moment at a time.

This week is a reminder for us all that not all disabilities can be seen. We believe understanding begins with awareness and awareness builds compassion. 🌻

So today we invite you to find out more through - to listen to the diverse stories of others and to increase your awareness so that if you see a sunflower lanyard, you’ll know there is an invisible disability made that little bit more visible and you can hear their story with empathy, flexibility, understanding and support.

In OT, we use the PEO model - person, environment and occupation to look at the whole child.

Person - a child’s unique strength and preferences. Environment - the classroom, routines and relationships. Occupation - play, learning and everyday activities.

When these three overlap, children thrive.

This model is also the lens we look through for all of our preschool and school trainings and supports. We don’t stop at one-off trainings. We combine educator workshops, leadership coaching and environmental design consultations so strategies become embedded in practice and in place.

The result? More confident educators, supportive environments and children who flourish. If you think your centre would benefit from our supports, tag them below or send us a message as we’d love to hear about your centre and how we can help!
