Do you experience any of these? 🤔

🔹Indigestion or heartburn
🔹Excessive belching
🔹Bloating after meals
🔹Nausea or that “brick in your stomach” feeling
🔹Brittle hair and nails
🔹Low iron, B12 or other nutrients

These symptoms are so common…
but that doesn’t mean they’re normal.

One thing that’s often overlooked?
👉 Low stomach acid .

And here’s why that matters more than you might think…

1️⃣ It’s part of your body’s defence system
Stomach acid helps protect you from unwanted bacteria, parasites and pathogens that come in through food.

2️⃣ It helps you actually break down your food
Especially protein.
If this process isn’t working well, food can sit, ferment and cause that bloated, uncomfortable feeling (hello belching + reflux).

3️⃣ It’s essential for absorbing nutrients
Without enough stomach acid, nutrients like iron, B12, zinc and calcium are much harder to absorb...no matter how “healthy” your diet is.

💡 Here’s the part most people don’t realise…
Symptoms like reflux, bloating and indigestion aren’t caused by too much acid.
Sometimes - it’s the opposite.

But...this is where it’s important not to guess.
There’s no one-size-fits-all here.

There may be structural issues to consider.
Most of the time there's also.. low stomach acid, enzyme insufficiency, gut infections, food intolerance or a combination of factors.

👉 The key is understanding what’s driving your symptoms.

If this sounds familiar, it might be worth exploring a bit deeper.

I see this in clinic everyday. ✨
It's often the smallest most manageable changes that end up making the biggest difference.

🔥 Struggling with reflux, heartburn or bloating? The problem might not just be what you're eating... it could be how you're eating.

These 5 simple habits can make a real difference if you suffer from:
🔷 Reflux or GERD
🔶 Heartburn & indigestion
🔷 Bloating or nausea
🔶 Undigested food in stools
🔷 Excessive belching
🔶 Feelings of fullness

The good news? None of these habits cost a thing. They just require a little intention.

Try them consistently for 2–3 weeks and see what shifts for you. Your digestive system will thank you. 🌿

Is reflux getting you down? 👎

Before reaching for another antacid, it's worth knowing that many people find significant relief simply by identifying and reducing their personal triggers.. because everyone's digestive system is different.

But here's the important part - reflux and indigestion are symptoms, not the root problem. They're a sign that something deeper is going on in your digestive health. Managing triggers helps, but addressing the underlying cause is what leads to real, long-term relief without relying on medication.

Do any of these common reflux triggers affect you? Comment below👇

🌶️ Spicy food
🧀 Dairy
☕ Coffee
🍷 Alcohol
🍫 Chocolate
🍅 Tomato sauces
🥩 Fatty foods
😤 Stress
🚬 Smoking

Are you relying on reflux meds just to get through the day? 🙋

That burning feeling after meals. Waking up with acid in your throat. Reaching for the antacids before you've even finished eating.

If this sounds familiar... you're not alone. Reflux and indigestion are incredibly common. But common doesn't mean you just have to put up with it.

Reflux happens when stomach acid splashes back up into the oesophagus, causing that familiar burning, chest discomfort, regurgitation, a persistent cough, or that strange lumpy feeling in your throat. 🔥BUT it's not just about acid!

Antacids and reflux medications can take the edge off BUT they're not designed to be a long-term fix. Over time they can actually contribute to other health issues by interfering with your stomach's natural secretions.

Here's the thing... for a lot of people, reflux is heavily driven by lifestyle triggers. Things like diet, stress, obesity, alcohol, and smoking can all play a role. Which means there's often a lot that can be done beyond just managing symptoms with medication.

You deserve to eat a meal and actually feel okay afterwards. 💙

I'll be sharing more on this over the coming days - practical tips on identifying your triggers and what you can actually do about them.

And if you want personalised support in the meantime, I offer one-on-one appointments both in person and online.

NEVER BEEN WELL SINCE…. Mine was a run of back-to-back viruses and infections right after moving towns and schools - my body never quite bounced back after that. 💙

Do you have a 'never been well since' moment?🤔

Many of my clients can describe an event or a time that preceded their health issues.⌚

Infections, traumatic events, a surgery or an intense season of stress come up as common triggers.

Taking a thorough medical history and understanding the timeline of your health concerns can be hugely helpful in understanding how you got to where you are now.🛣️

Of course, the onset of illness isn't so clear cut for everyone but as a practitioner I find a health timeline can still be very useful.

If you're struggling with your health why not book a free introductory call with me and let's see if we can tackle your health puzzle🧩 together.

What does a naturopath actually do?🤔

Most people have a rough idea… something about herbs, maybe nutrition.. but aren't quite sure how it all fits together. Here's the simple version.

A naturopath looks at you as a whole person, not just the symptom in front of them. 🧩That means connecting the dots between your gut, your hormones, your sleep, your stress, and your energy. Using both traditional wisdom and modern science, the goal is to find the why behind how you're feeling and actually address it at the root..

People often come to me after years of searching for answers - often feeling like noone is really listening. That's actually where naturopathic medicine and nutrition shines.🔆 We dig deeper, work with what your body is telling us, and give you a clear path forward.

As a naturopath I help people with things like:
→ Ongoing fatigue or low energy
→ Digestive issues like IBS, bloating, reflux and constipation
→ Hormonal imbalances and cycle irregularities
→ Chronic Inflammation and persistent pain
→ Immune dysfunction like recurrent infections & autoimmune
→ Stress, anxiety, poor sleep, and feeling "wired but tired"
→ That vague sense that something just isn't right

It's not about replacing your doctor.
It's about rebuilding and restoring good health using the power of food🍏, nutrition and herbal medicine🌿 - with a plan that's built around you.

Curious whether this could help you? 📲My free 15-min intro call is a no-pressure way to find out. 🔗Link in Bio

If you're nodding along to any of these .. this is for you. 🌿

So many people come to me feeling like they've fallen through the cracks. Their symptoms are real, their exhaustion is real but they're not getting the answers or support they need from the conventional system alone.

Naturopathic nutrition and herbal medicine offer a different approach.
One that looks at the full picture, takes your experience seriously, and works with your body to improve how you feel day to day.

If you're curious but not sure where to start, the easiest first step is a free 15-minute intro call. Just a relaxed conversation to see if working together feels right, no commitment, no pressure.

Not sure if natural medicine is right for you.. or where to even begin? You're not alone in that. 🌿

So many of the people I work with came to me after years of feeling like something was off, but never quite getting answers. They weren't looking for a miracle — they just wanted someone to actually dig into why they felt the way they did.

That's exactly what I do.

As a naturopath and clinical nutritionist, I look at the full picture, your symptoms, your history, your lifestyle.. and use nutrition and herbal medicine to help restore balance from the inside out. It's gentle, it's individualised, and it's grounded in both traditional knowledge and modern science.

I have a particular interest in invisible illnesses like chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, IBS, POTS and post-viral illness like long COVID. The ones that are hard to explain and even harder to get support for.

If you're curious but not sure where to start, the easiest thing to do is book a free 15-minute intro call. It's just a conversation - no commitment, no pressure - so you can ask questions and get a feel for whether working together makes sense.
