The Neural Path of Least Resistance
The brain is naturally wired for efficiency. Once it finds a way to respond to a specific trigger or stressor, it builds a neural pathway. Essentially a shortcut it uses every time. Over time, these shortcuts become our default reactions, even if they no longer serve who we are today.

My work isn’t about fixing something that is broken. It’s about remapping.

Through Neurotherapy brain retraining, we work to weaken those old, reactive pathways and strengthen new, more supportive ones. It is a practical process of showing your nervous system that it has better options available. It takes intentionality, but the results are lasting because they are built into your biology.

Updating the Internal Map
If you feel stuck in a cycle of anxiety, stress or old habits, it is usually a sign that your brain is simply following a very well worn map.

Brain retraining is the process of drawing a new one.

In our sessions, we use brain retraining as a tool to access the deeper layers of the mind where these maps are stored. From there, we begin the work of remapping, encouraging the brain to move away from high alert states and back toward a state of clarity for new choices and movement forward.

It is a grounded, effective process. If you’re interested in how this approach may work for your specific situation, jump over to my website and book a Complementary Information Session with me for a quick chat over the phone.

🧐ANXIETY and PERFECTIONISM Common signs of high functioning anxiety can be easy to overlook, especially because on the outside, everything seems fine.
Here are some key signs:
📌Overthinking everything, even small decisions or interactions can become a mental marathon, with a constant fear of making the "wrong" choice.

📌Difficulty relaxing, you may feel like you always need to be productive and urgency, even when you're supposed to be resting. Sitting still often feels uncomfortable.

📌Perfectionism, you set unrealistically high standards for yourself, and even when you meet them, you still feel like it's not enough.

📌Procrastination mixed with over preparation, you may put off tasks due to fear of failure, but when you do start, you over prepare and obsess over every detail.

📌Inner restlessness, while you might seem calm and composed, internally, you're always on edge, constantly thinking about what needs to be done or what could go wrong.

📌Trouble sleeping, your mind races at night, replaying the day’s events or worrying about the future, making it hard to fall or stay asleep.

📌Physical tension, you might notice tightness in your neck, shoulders, or jaw, stiffness in hips along with headaches or stomach issues, all from the constant stress.

📌Scared of getting it wrong, you may be waiting to get told off or have a fear of being found out.

These signs often go unnoticed by others because you’re "doing well" on the surface, but the internal struggle is exhausting.

Hypnotherapy can help you uncover those deeper patterns of self doubt, feelings of not doing enough, or being enough and relieving that feeling of constant urgency in your body.

🌿 I specialises in Hypnotherapy and Neurotherapy; remapping of neuropathways, resetting disregulated nervous systems to improve mental fitness, health, relationships, and increasing clarity and productivity.

Are you stuck in the All or Nothing loop? 😩
The belief that you can't start until everything is "perfect" is not excellence, it's often a deep seated fear of being judged or it not being good enough.
The Honest Truth: Done is better than perfect, because perfect doesn't exist. I know you know this, yet every day you stay stuck.
The messy middle is where real progress and learning happen. You can't improve on a blank page.

💥 Stop Waiting & Start Doing: Try This Reframing
This week, commit to the Principle of Continuous Improvement with these simple shifts:
Lower the Bar: Instead of a demanding 10/10, aim for a manageable 7/10. Done is better than perfect.
Focus on 5 Minutes: Overwhelmed? Just commit to 5 minutes of work. Momentum beats procrastination.
Celebrate the good enough: Acknowledge the action you took. Action is progress.
The goal is not to be flawless. The goal is to move forward. Stop waiting for the perfect moment.

Ready to Break the Perfection Cycle?
If your drive for perfection is really just your brain trained for fear and anxiety, we can change that.
I help clients gently and rapidly retrain their brain to prioritise action and self motivation over critical self judgment. Hypnotherapy and specific neurotherapy are effective and successful tools for rewiring these mental habits.

If you are ready to commit to change and step into the best, non perfect version of you, let's talk.

Stop waiting for the perfect moment. It doesn’t exist ✋
Perfectionism isn't about excellence. It is usually a deep seated fear of being judged. It tricks you into thinking an unfinished 100% perfect goal is better than a finished 80% solid one.
The truth? You can’t improve on a blank page 📝
If you are exhausted from the mental pressure of hitting a 10/10 every time, try this:
✨ Lower the Bar: Aim for a 7/10. It is manageable and actually lets you finish.
✨ The 5-Minute Rule: Commit to just 5 minutes of a task. Momentum beats procrastination.
✨ Celebrate Good Enough: Action is progress. Period.

The goal is not to be flawless. It is to move 🚀
If your drive for perfection is actually your brain’s way of managing anxiety, we can rewire that. I help clients use hypnotherapy and brain training to collapse the old stories keeping them frozen.
Ready to leave the all or nothing mindset behind?

🌟 Progress Over Perfection: Let's Drop the Impossible Standard
Does this sound familiar?

You feel stuck because you can't start until everything is "perfect."

You procrastinate because the ideal version of the task feels too massive.

You're exhausted from the mental pressure of trying to hit an unrealistic 10/10 every single time.

The Perfection Trap is a Progress Stopper.
Perfectionism isn't actually about being excellent; it's often a deep-seated fear of being judged for being imperfect. It tricks you into thinking that an unfinished, 100% perfect goal is better than a finished, 80% solid one.
Here's the honest truth:
Done is better than perfect, because there is no "perfect"
The messy middle is where the real learning happens. You can't improve on a blank page.

This is how it works

🌱 Retraining your brain and unconscious patterns by
1. Finding the origins of your self belief, the old story. When and how did you learn that belief about yourself.
2. Deconstructing and untangling the old story that is limiting you, keeping you contained, pressurised.
3. Brain training and hypnotherapy techniques to collapse the old belief and the thoughts that lead you to freeze or procrastination.
Instead of chasing an impossible "perfect," let's embrace the Principle of Continuous Improvement.

Try this simple reframing technique this week:

💥Lower the Bar, Instead of aiming for 10/10, aim for 7/10. That 7/10 goal is manageable and lets you finish.

💥Notice when you are thinking the "all or nothing "I have to do it all otherwise I can't start.

💥Focus on 5 Minutes: If a task feels overwhelming, tell yourself you only have to work on it for 5 minutes. Momentum beats procrastination every time.

💥Celebrate the "Good Enough" acknowledge that you took action. That action is progress.

💥Notice when you are doing the "all or nothing "The goal isn't to be flawless. The goal is to move forward, progress. Stop waiting for the perfect moment, it doesn't exist.

Ready to Break the Perfection Cycle for Good?
If your drive for perfection is really just your brain trained for fear and anxiety of not being enough or doing enough, we can change that. Hypnotherapy and specific neuro techniques are effective and successful tools for rewiring the mental habits that keep you stuck.

I help clients gently but rapidly retrain their brain to prioritise action and self motivation over critical self judgment. Allowing to improve relationships, health, mental fitness while increasing productivity and clarity.

Brain retraining is designed for people who are ready to commit to change, leaving the old excuses and stories behind that have kept them limited and step forward into the unfamiliar space of feeling comfortable with the best non perfect version of you.

🌟 Understanding Emotional Eating 🌟
Many of us experience it but may not fully understand emotional eating or why we do it.

This is when we turn to food not just for hunger, but as a way to cope with feelings like stress, sadness, boredom, loneliness and anxiety... Eating emotions

👉 So why do we emotionally eat?

1. Stress Relief: Life can be overwhelming, and food can feel like a comforting escape.

2. Boredom:Sometimes we eat out of sheer habit or to fill a void, unfulfilled. We look for a distraction.

3. Loneliness: Eating can become a way to fill the emptiness or a sense of companionship
4. Traditions:Many of us associate certain foods with memories or experiences, leading to eating for comfort or feeling safe.
If you find yourself eating when you're not truly hungry, it may be helpful to explore, identify and shift through the emotional loop running that habit.

🎯As a psychotherapist specialising in hypnotherapy, I help people find the origins and understand those feelings that keep you stuck and frustrated.
Most people I work with around their Emotional Eating generally have a good balanced diet and try and do some type of regular exercise and movement of the body every week.
So their Emotional Eating can make them feel confused, frustrated and stuck, leading to self criticism, embarrassment, self sabotaging, and comparing themselves to others and giving up;"What's the point"

📞If you would like to have a chat over the phone to find out how you can explore your relationship with food and emotions, the origins of where and why and how to break the cycle, Jump over to my website and book a Complementary Information Session with me.

🍷 The Tired but Wired Reset: Seeking 4 Volunteers
I’m looking for 4 women in Perimenopause or Menopause to join me for a 28-day alcohol reset using the 5pm Method, completely free of charge.

This isn’t about fixing your whole life. Honestly, you’re already doing enough. You’re likely exhausted, juggling a million plates, and feeling that specific tired but wired hum at the end of the day.

This is specifically for the "Shadow Drinkers."
You aren’t hitting rock bottom, and you wouldn't call yourself an alcoholic. But you are stuck in that 5:00pm loop. (or whatever time for you) You reach for that first glass because you need the off switch, even though you know exactly how wired and regretful you’ll feel at 3:00am.

Why I’m doing this:
I’m refining my 28 day program and I want real, raw feedback from women who are ready to reclaim that one specific hour of their day.

Hypnotherapy:
Along with the 28 day online program, you will have 2 personal hypnotherapy sessions with me to interrupt your current pattern over Zoom.

The Goal:
To break the habit of using wine to cope with exhaustion so you can actually rest and reset your hormones, finding a baseline again.
It's not about giving up drinking forever, its about learning how to deal with the daily, without falling into a glass every night.

The Catch:
All I ask in return for the full program is your honest feedback on what worked and what didn't.
You will need to take a pause from drinking for 28 days.

If you’re tired of the cycle of evening pouring and morning regret, let’s see if this method works for you.

To apply: Drop a 5pm in the comments or send me a PM. I’ll be picking 4 women to start with me Monday 9th Feb.

The body remembers what the mind tries to push down.
Do you ever feel like you’re running on fumes, yet your brain won't shut off at night? It’s that tired but wired loop. On the outside, you’re the rock, the independent one everyone leans on. But inside, you’re hitting a wall.

Years of perfectionism and people pleasing have left you drained and, if we’re being honest, a little resentful. It’s hard to keep smiling when your body is screaming for a break.
This isn’t just stress; it’s your nervous system stuck in survival mode.

You can’t think your way out of burnout. Using Integrated Hypnotherapy and Somatic practices, we work with your body to:
Calm the noise: Move from fight or flight into genuine rest.
Release the weight: Clear the stored exhaustion and old stories.
Reclaim your peace: Set boundaries and stop needing to be perfect to be worthy.

You’ve been the support for everyone else for so long. It’s okay to be the one who is supported now.
Let’s have a real chat. If you’re ready to stop pushing and start breathing again, I’m here.

The Root of Healing Anxiety, Stress and Overwhelm
🧠Your nervous system is the ultimate glue; it literally holds you together. This is the master coordinator for everything your body does: digestion, heart rate, breathing, your response to stress and trauma, hormones and your immune response.

🥺But when that system gets, overloaded, or locked into survival mode, every single one of those essential functions takes a hit. They can't work to their full capacity.

🏃‍♀️This can happen from everyday busyness, never being able to fit it all in, feeling as if your brain and body is switched on all the time, pasts trauma and wounds. A lot of people feel a level of overwhelm and anxious thoughts most days, waiting for their world to slow down, wishing they could change, healthier, calmer, fitter, more present. It's a nice idea, but wishing it, isn't changing it.

🎯This is why real healing has to start by going back to the source: the nervous system. Using powerful tools like brain retraining, somatic practices, and vagus nerve work helps restore regulation, remapping neuropathways, shifting from the old stories and beliefs about yourself. It moves your body out of "fight or flight" and back into a state where it can finally return to healing itself and regulate even on the really busy days.

As a specialist in Hypnotherapy, Somatic Practices, and Brain Training, I help you go beyond surface level fixes. We use powerful, grounded techniques to:
🌿Regulate your nervous system, turning down the volume on anxiety and overwhelm.
🌿Rewire old stress and trauma responses using pioneering neuroscience practices.
🌿Restore your innate capacity for calm, focus, and resilience even on your busiest days.

📞If you would like to have a quick chat over the phone to become more informed of how I can help you, jump over to my website Jillcoolehypnotherapy.com and book a Complementary Information Session with me.
