Most people treat headaches where they feel them. But the source can be from somewhere completely different.
There are 3 types of headaches we commonly see in our clinic - and knowing which one you have changes everything about how you treat it.
Which of these headaches sounds most like yours? Tell us in the comments 👇

Your neck may be under more strain than you realise.
Long hours at a desk can place ongoing load on the neck, which may contribute to certain headache patterns for some people.
Small changes like more movement, better desk support, and noticing early tension signs may help.
You can read more on our blog if this sounds familiar.

Even on our days off, someone always needs an adjustment 🐰 Turns out our most dedicated patients this Easter are about 20cm tall and made of chocolate. We hope your long weekend is full of rest, good food, and zero back pain - and if not, we’re back Tuesday. Happy Easter from the Brunswick Chiro family 🐣

We’ve been reviewing our clinic policies and decided a few changes were overdue. Effective immediately: no chairs, mandatory book balancing in the waiting room, and absolutely no phones. We think you’ll agree these are very reasonable updates. Happy April Fools from the Brunswick Chiro team 🤡 We would never actually take your chairs. Probably.

⚖️ Feeling tight doesn’t always mean you need more stretching.
Sometimes, the real issue is that certain muscles are working overtime because other areas aren’t giving enough support. That’s where strengthening may help.
Both stretching and strengthening can play an important role, but they do different jobs. The key is understanding what your body actually needs, rather than guessing based on how it feels in the moment.
If tightness keeps coming back, or stretching only helps for a little while, it may be worth looking at the bigger picture.

When the reel does well and suddenly the whole clinic has main character energy😎

You stretch.
It helps.
Then it comes back.
Sound familiar?
🪢 Muscles don’t just tighten when they’re short.
They tighten when they’re doing too much — especially if they don’t trust your strength or control.
👉 Stretching gives relief
💪 Strength creates resolution
This is exactly what Daniel focuses on with his Activation sessions — helping you build strength and control so your body stops needing to tighten in the first place.
If you’re stuck in a tight–stretch–tight cycle…
It might be time to change the input.

If you sit at a desk all day but still love training, this one is for you.
Repeat injuries are not always just bad luck. Long hours of sitting, limited recovery, and jumping back into exercise as soon as pain settles may all play a role.
In this carousel, we break down:
• why repeat injuries happen
• how desk work may affect movement
• why rest alone is not always enough
• when it may be worth getting support

When even the therapy dog knows this isn't right 😂 ..but don’t worry, we still get the job done… eventually 😅

Your workout didn’t break your back. Your week did. Your bucket was already full before you even touched a weight. Sitting all day, stress, poor sleep, 3 coffees deep — by Saturday your body had nothing left. The training was just the last drop. Save this if you’ve ever blamed a workout for a flare-up.

Back pain during training does not always mean training is the problem.
For many people, the issue is not just exercise. Long hours of sitting during the week may leave the body less ready for the demands of training.
The goal is not to stop moving because of pain. The goal is to understand what your body may be responding to and make smart changes across the whole week.

Our Story

Brunswick Chiropractic consists of a team of like-minded health professionals solely focused on the improvement of their patients' health and wellbeing.

The practice itself has been helping and treating the local community for over 30 years. The current owners, Drs David and Alicia Cannon, are a husband and wife team who strive for excellence in their respective professions, chiropractic and osteopathy. They have a strong patient-centred ethos and have gathered around them a collection of practitioners that share the view that the health and well-being of the patient is paramount. David and Alicia are maintaining and improving upon the quality care that was provided by the previous principal chiropractors, Drs Paul Carless and Alan Freedman.

Here at Brunswick Chiropractic, we want you to be the best you can be, to be able to do what you want to do when you want to do it, and enjoy a full and pain free life. To help you achieve your health goals, we offer a variety of hands-on therapies including chiropractic, osteopathy and myotherapy, and we can cater our treatments to your individual needs.
