🏊🏼‍♀️❤️ PEOPLE OF COBURG OLYMPIC ❤️🏊🏼‍♀️

🏊🏼‍♀️ KYLIE, walks to the pool.

Kylie is from the home of swimming (Redcliffe in Qld) is a local small business owner/ acupuncturist who is lucky enough to live just up the road from this fabulous pool! She loves kicking her husband’s butt lap swimming (if you are in the same or neighbouring lane - lookout shes racing you!) and getting her hit of vitamin D.

She looks forward to the pool opening for the summer all year and desperately wishes it was open all year round.

Though shes not a super early bird she’s really enjoyed the early morning lap swimming as it’s such an invigorating way to start the day!

Kylie has three wishes for Coburg Olympic Swimming Pool:
1/Dont ever wreak it!
2/Bring back the sausage sizzle
3/Get some solar heating wouldya!

What is Qi?

(Prounounched 'chee') Qi is the lifeforce of the body. It is energy.
In traditional Chinese medicine, qi is the thing that makes up all of creation. Qi also binds together everything that exists.
You can think of Yin and Yang as the two halves of qi.

When Qi flows freely, you feel energetic, balanced, and healthy.
When it’s blocked or depleted, fatigue, stress, or discomfort can appear.

🌿You can support your Qi through nourishing foods, gentle movement, mindful practices, and proper rest — keeping your body’s energy strong and flowing!

☀️ Yang Support☀️

Yang is the spark that fuels movement, warmth, and vitality. It’s your inner fire, giving you motivation, drive, and the energy to take action.
When Yang is strong, you feel warm, energised, and ready to take on the day. When it’s low, you might feel cold, tired, unmotivated, or find it hard to get going in the mornings.

Ways to support your Yang:
🍲 Eat warming, cooked foods — think soups, stews, ginger, cinnamon, garlic, oats, and lamb.
🚶 Move your body — gentle exercise and time outdoors help build and circulate Yang energy.
🌞 Soak up warmth — sunshine, infrared saunas, and staying cosy during cold weather all help preserve Yang.

Balance is key — Yin cools and nourishes, Yang warms and activates. Together, they create harmony. 🌿

🌿Yin Nourishment 🌿
Yin nourishment is essential for women at every stage of life.
It’s what keeps us grounded, hydrated, and replenished. As we age, Yin naturally declines, making it even more important to support and restore it.
Nourish your Yin with:

🥒 Cooling, hydrating foods — watermelon, pears, cucumber, leafy greens, mushrooms, seaweed, avocado, and whole grains like brown rice, millet, and barley.
🫖 Gentle hydration — herbal teas like chamomile or mint, and even coconut water for its natural electrolytes.
🧘‍♀️ Mindful movement — slow stretching, breathwork, and restful practices to calm and restore.
🔥 Try to go easy on spicy foods, excess caffeine, and red meat as they can deplete your Yin over time.

Your Yin is your deep reserve, treat it with care.

🌿What is Yin and Yang?🌿

You’ve probably seen the YinYang symbol before, but do you know what it really represents for your body?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine:
🌙 Yin = cooling, nourishing, restorative energy
☀️ Yang = warming, activating, energising force

Your health depends on balance. Too much Yin can leave you cold and sluggish, too much Yang can make you restless or overheated.
Understanding Yin and Yang isn’t just philosophy, it’s a roadmap for how to eat, move, and care for yourself so your body stays in harmony.

🌙 Horary Cycle🌙

Ever wake up at the same time every night?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, different times of the day (and night!) are linked to specific organs. In TCM it’s called the Horary Clock.
If you often wake around the same hour, it might be your body sending a message.

For example:
🌿 Waking between 3–5am? That’s Lung time — often connected to grief or deep emotional processing.
🌿 Waking around 1–3am? That’s Liver time — linked to stress, frustration, or detoxification.

Your sleep patterns can reveal so much about your inner balance.
