Just letting you all know what I have been up too since February!

I have recently finished my training with NSW Ambulance and have kicked off as a Medical Call Taker in the Northern Controll Centre.

It’s been a wild ride and I had to knuckle down and focus full time to complete my training and assessments.

My intention is to continue to offer By and By Farm supported experiences and mentoring at our new location from May 2023.

I am working a rolling roster of days and nights so I thank you for your patience as we settle into a new location AND a change in schedules.

I have been fortunate to participate in some Group Sessions this week with our Hunter Valley Children's Therapies colleagues.

I took away a desire to set an “intention” for our daily work.

My intention for today’s sessions was about finding pathways for “peaceful growth”.

The energy in the space supported that intention as we saw our herd happy and playful in their work with our riders.

Lots of trails, lots of laughs, floating butterflies and blackberry picking.

After having a wonderful break full of fun and rest, we return to work for 2023.

Here is one of our most loved horses Scout - he and I have had wonderful fun over the break and he today returned to work as kindly as ever xx

I have lots of enquiries for spaces and I will come back as quick as I can.

That is a wrap for 2022.

What a year! 2 Floods 2 bouts of COVID and a 1000 beautiful memories in between.

I adore the people and the animals that fill my day. The good and bad days all add up to wonderful moments of learning and growth.

I need to thank my team of incredible horses - Scout, Red, Taffy, Charlie and Jack for the kindness and care.

My team of humans who help keen the show on the road including Supports Kim Arnott and Volunteers Adelaide Houterman, Craig Houterman and Bree Pitolua have done a wonderful job.

To our Vets at Newcastle Equine Centre, Motto Farm Vet Clinic and our super farrier Matthew William Hancock - we are beyond grateful for the care and advice xx

As By and By Farm grows, we are on the lookout for a special human that can provide Disability Support Services alongside our Riding Coaches.

Must hold a minimum Cert. 3 Individual Disability Support and be physical able to walk long distances across shifts.

Experience with and or a love of Animals if highly sort after.

I wanted to acknowledge and thank one of the hardest working members of our team - Deb Cook.

Deb is an Individual Disability Support Worker and an Allied Health Therapy Assistant.

With Deb here at the By and By Farm, families can book their OT, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists etc to see their children here while they are most relaxed and comfortable.

Deb can work hand in hand with them to then implement/execute their Therapeutic Plan each time your children visit us here at the Farm.

So that struggle for time to manage Specialist Appointments or even to have their children respond in an “indoor” environment can be overcome.

We are all about creative and meaningful support where our participants can thrive and grow in their life beyond the saddle.

Happy to share some of our success stories if this sounds like something of interest to your family and can provide references from Specialists we currently see on farm.

Some wonderful participant feedback - we really do love what we share with our families

I've been trying to put into words the emotion from the boy's experience yesterday. I'll start by saying that as soon as we drove in, you smiled & waved and made us feel welcome!

Both Hamish & Reilley were out the car & off..no reluctance, no anxiety, no second thoughts, just full of excitement! It is clear to see that you, Deb & Kim have such a gentle & nurturing approach working together as a beautiful team! Each & every child could just be themselves, no pressure or expectation!

This opportunity you have provided to the Jones brothers is one we've been on the search for years! We've tried everything.. PCYC, scouts, library groups just to mention a few. When we talked on the way home & last night, both said that they loved it because everyone is so nice and the animals are great..& the chooks & the cats & Red & Charlie!

Their response when asked would you like to make this a regular activity each Friday 'definitely', 'yes please' 'can we'!! Together with beautiful words to thank Tom & I for taking them. We know your team extends to include Craig & Adelaide too. They are fabulous how they back you guys up & compliment your team! So as you can see, please book us in as regulars. Thank you so, so much & sorry for the essay but how do you put into just a few words such a positive experience. Have a fantastic weekend & we'll see you next week🌻
