Our aim is to guide infants right through to adolescents on the path to their full potential in all aspects of life through individualised treatment approaches. We are committed to the utmost in health and technological advances and want to see children, young people and their families get the most out of their time at Osana. We place great importance on the role of parents and caregivers in the success of every child’s treatment and are committed to building and supporting the network of people directly responsible for each child’s wellbeing. Osana is focused on providing physiotherapy services to the Sunshine Coast region in our specially-designed paediatric clinic located in Buderim. The Director and Physiotherapist of Osana is Claire Mahoney. Claire has always had a passion to inspire children and young people to achieve their goals and over the last 15 years she has worked throughout Australia and Singapore in the health and fitness industry with children, young people and adults. Claire is a graduate of the Doctor of Physiotherapy program at Bond University on the Gold Coast where she specialised in Paediatrics. Claire has worked in Canberra for a private practice where she treated clients under the Federal Government’s Better Start program and transitioned clients to the National Disability Insurance Scheme under early intervention and school age supports. She has since returned to the Sunshine Coast and established Osana for kids of all ages. Claire is passionate about all aspects of paediatrics and healthy, happy kids. She has a special interest in newborns, premature babies and twins as well as sporting injuries, musculoskeletal pain, hypermobility disorders, delayed development and toe walking.

We are delighted to welcome to the Osana Team Julie Esbensen our Speech Pathologist.

Julie brings over a decade of experience working in private practice to helping clients improve their communication skills and confidence. She enjoys helping everyone from children to adults on all Speech Pathology concerns and difficulties.

Over the years, Julie has built expertise in both clinical practice and leadership, mentoring allied health assistants and fellow Speech Pathologists.

Julie lives with her two children and two cats. Outside work, she enjoys singing in her choir, creating pottery, crafting, and spending time in her garden. She brings the same dedication, creativity and passion to her hobbies as she does to her professional life.
