National Skin Cancer Action Week ☀️

Two in three Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer by age 70, making it our most common cancer. Living on the Illawarra coast means we're exposed to high UV levels year-round, so sun protection and regular skin checks are particularly important.

Early detection dramatically improves outcomes. Look out for new spots, moles that change in size, shape, or colour, or anything that looks different from your other spots.

Today is World Diabetes Day 💙

Did you know November is also Lung Cancer Awareness Month?

Anyone can develop lung cancer, even non-smokers. Early detection significantly improves outcomes, so it's important to know the warning signs: persistent cough lasting more than three weeks, shortness of breath, chest pain, coughing up blood, or unexplained weight loss.

If you're experiencing any of these symptoms, have a history of smoking, or have been exposed to asbestos or other risk factors, it's worth getting checked.

With degrees in both physiotherapy and medicine, Dr. John brings unique expertise to sports injuries and musculoskeletal health. He's currently the match day doctor for St George Illawarra Dragons NRL and Wellington Phoenix A-League, and has worked with Melbourne Storm, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Hull FC, and at events including the Tour de France!
