✈️ Travelling Overseas in 2026? Don’t Forget Your Travel Vaccines! ✈️

If you’re planning an international trip, make sure your health is part of the checklist.

Different countries have different health risks, and some destinations require specific vaccinations before entry. Travel vaccines can protect you against serious illnesses while abroad.

We recommend booking your travel health appointment 6–8 weeks before departure, as some vaccines require multiple doses or time to become effective (ie: these are not something you should leave until the last minute)

Some common travel vaccines your Doctor can discuss with you (based on your destination) *may* include but are not limited to:

🌏 Yellow Fever – needed for parts of Africa & South America
🌏 Typhoid – recommended for Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean
🌏 Hepatitis A & B – important for many destinations worldwide
🌏Rabies – for travel in rural areas or where you might contact animals
🌏 Japanese Encephalitis – for extended stays in rural parts of Asia
🌏 Routine vaccines – MMR, Tdap, polio, flu, and COVID-19

🌸 IMPORTANT CHANGES TO DR RUTH CAMPBELL’S BILLING POLICY 🌸

Due to exceptionally high demand, Dr Ruth Campbell is a private billing GP. Payment is required on the day of your appointment.

She will continue to bulk bill:
🌸 Children under 16 years of age
🌸 DVA gold card holders
🌸 Pension Concession Card holders of retirement age (67 years and over)

Any other bulk billing is at the sole discretion of Dr Ruth on the day of consultation.

If you DO NOT meet the above criteria, you are still very welcome to see Dr Ruth as a private patient. Medicare rebates can be processed on the day and refunded directly to your cheque or savings account via your EFTPOS card.

If you are a Health Care Card holder, or a Pension Concession Card holder under 67, you also have the option to see another GP at the practice who offers bulk billing, such as Dr Hamed Saravi, Dr Stacey Fazio or Dr Rodrigo Ferrari Zeni.
