This week we got to hear from Sarah, the amazing General Manager at Work Clobber! 💪

Sarah shared her journey — from buying her first business at just 19 to now running a thriving company focused on supporting businesses and employees across WA. Her passion for her team and drive to always give 110% shines through everything she does.

Work Clobber offers a range of opportunities and experiences from embroidery to PPE with two key sides to their business:

✨ BNI Morning Highlights ✨

What a fantastic morning at BNI today! ☕💼

We kicked things off with a special visit from John, our State Director, who joined Lou, Iain, Alicia, and Jaida for coffee before the meeting at The Happy Wife Bunbury — such a great way to start the morning!

Our feature presentation was from Sandy at CLARITY Conveyancing, who shared her story and had us all laughing along the way.

Sandy grew up in Darwin and spent 17 years in the mining industry before moving to WA, where she’s now been for over 25 years. She’s been with Clarity for 3 years and is now a licensed settlement agent 🙌

We loved hearing about her love for cars, motorbikes, and her two adorable dogs (an American Staffy and a Rotti Staffy cross 🐾). She described herself as a “bogan at heart” — and we love that honesty and energy!

Clarity Conveyancing was started by Kate Neaves, who still runs the business today alongside a team of 7. Their focus is on making the settlement process simple, transparent, and stress-free for their clients 🏡💼

We also had the pleasure of welcoming Work Clobber Bunbury as a new member of our group! 👕👷‍♀️ It was awesome to learn about all the products they can create and brand for businesses — from uniforms and work shirts to little kids’ work boots and lunch bags. Perfect for businesses wanting to look sharp and professional!

BNI mornings are always about connection, learning, and supporting local — and today was the perfect example of that 💛

🌮✨ BNI Referral Leaders Friday Sundowner ✨🌮

Last night, Willow Childminding - Western Australia had the pleasure of hosting our BNI Referral Leaders Friday evening sundowner – and what a night it was! 💃

We went all in with a Mexican fiesta theme – nachos, burritos, corn dips, and of course… tequila! 🌽🥑🍹 The fire was crackling, the conversations were flowing, and it was the perfect mix of fun and connection.

BNI isn’t just about business – it’s about turning connections into meaningful relationships, building trust, and creating a community where we all support each other to grow. Nights like these remind me how powerful it is when business and genuine friendship come together.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a warm and memorable evening. Here’s to more collaboration, laughter, and success – both in business and in life! 🔥✨

At BNI, we know how important it is to have strong leaders who don’t just talk about community, but actively invest in it. That’s why we’re proud to spotlight Marina, one of our Referral Leaders members, who is putting her hand up to be your voice on Council.

Marina is committed to tackling the issues that matter most:
✅ Community safety & crime prevention
✅ Homelessness & affordable housing solutions
✅ CBD parking & activation
✅ Better engagement between Council and community

She’s also a passionate advocate for transformative projects like the ocean pool, a purpose-built art gallery, Bicentennial Square, and community-driven ideas like the artificial surf reef — all while keeping Council financially responsible and focused on delivering results.

Marina’s track record speaks for itself: she’s worked alongside local groups to secure $29.7 million in funding for Hay Park upgrades and the indoor court stadium. On top of that, she volunteers as Secretary for several key organisations, and is an active member in many more — always showing up, giving back, and leading with purpose.

BNI is all about Givers Gain, and Marina embodies that every day. 🌟

Our weekly presentation was from Kylie at Solstice Finance. Kylie, who has a blended family with 6 kids, shared her love of food by bringing along delicious carrot cupcakes 🧁 and walked us through the why behind Solstice Finance, what they do, and how they help clients at pivotal moments in life.

One key takeaway – you can get a free credit score check (link in Kylie’s slides). Did you know a score of 600 is a good starting point for home loan lending? 💡

Congratulations to Teena from Checked and Balanced WA, this week’s prize winner, for her fantastic referrals from the previous week! 👏
