Did Christmas bring family dynamics to the surface?

Overwhelm… people-pleasing… disrupted sleep… emotional stress?

Maybe you found yourself: • holding it together for everyone else

• saying yes when your body wanted rest

• feeling wired, tired, or emotionally raw

• quietly grateful when it was finally over

If so, you’re not alone — and nothing is “wrong” with you...

The nervous system often absorbs what words can’t say.

Old family patterns, unspoken expectations, and years of conditioning can leave the body stuck in survival mode long after the holidays end.

If you don’t want to repeat this cycle in 2026, this is your invitation to do things differently.

Craniosacral therapy offers a gentle, body-led way to: ✨ settle the nervous system

✨ release stored stress and emotional holding
✨ soften people-pleasing patterns from the inside out

✨ restore deeper rest, clarity, and self-connection
You don’t need to analyse your way out of overwhelm.

Your body already knows how to return to safety — it just needs the right support.

If you’re ready to begin 2026 feeling more grounded, regulated, and at home in yourself, I’d love to support you 🤍

If your body could talk to you, it might say something like this:

“Please slow down and listen. I speak quietly at first — through tiredness, tightness, small aches, changes in breath. I’m not trying to stop you; I’m trying to protect you.

I hold your stories for you — the things you didn’t have words for, the moments you stayed strong when it was hard.

When you give me space, safety, and kindness,
I know how to soften and release.

Is it time?

Have you noticed increased pain in your body and mind?

If Yes — this is something many people notice, and it’s very real.

In the lead-up to the festive season, pain often increases due to a combination of nervous system load, emotional stress, and physical overdoing, rather than a single cause. But you know this right, you feel it.

Here are the most common reasons I see.

1. Emotional and nervous system pressure
Family dynamics, expectations, unresolved relationships

The pressure to be “happy,” generous, or available
End-of-year reflection

When the nervous system is under load, the body often speaks through pain.

2. Less regulation, more stimulation
Busy schedules, noise, socialising
Disrupted sleep and routines
More screen time and less quiet time

This keeps the system in a heightened state, increasing muscle tone and pain sensitivity.

3. Physical overexertion
Extra cooking, cleaning, shopping, travel

Lifting, standing longer, less recovery
Old injuries and chronic pain often flare when the body is asked for “just a bit more.”

4. Holding it all together Many people unconsciously brace — jaw, shoulders, diaphragm, pelvis — to cope.

That sustained holding shows up as headaches, neck pain, low back pain, or fatigue.

A gentle reframe Pain at this time of year isn’t a failure or something “going wrong.”
It’s often the body saying: there’s a lot happening — please slow down, support me.

Let's reset moving into a new year
Let's go within
Let's look at what needs attention
Let's support the mind and body to be open to receive.

Let's set lines, boundaries, action plans that reflect calm and proactive sustainable results.

How Craniosacral Therapy Supports the Stories We Hold

When the body feels safe, the stories we tell ourselves — especially the difficult ones — soften and become easier to explore.

Many of our old narratives are held physically:
tight jaws, guarded shoulders, braced spines, shallow breathing.
These patterns keep certain stories alive.

As the body unwinds, the emotional charge around the story often loosens too.

In this way, craniosacral therapy supports narrative therapy by helping the body feel safe, release old holding patterns, and gently integrate the shifts that come with exploring personal stories.
