Bundaberg - Be Active 🏏🎲

It was a hot one for the Bundy crew! The group braved part of the morning with a game of cricket at Alexandra Park before heading to the air-conditioned library for the adult program — Fun & Games.

The crew played a round of Yahtzee and interacted with others in the local community.

After lunch, they completed their mental health modules focusing on Positivity, including:
Developing a growth mindset
Thinking positive
A mental health discussion
A guided reflection/meditation session

Access Recreation – Six Week Challenge

Access Recreation and Mind & Motion are working together to assist our staff in making healthy changes, supporting both their physical and mental wellbeing. Recently, some of our team members completed a six week challenge and achieved meaningful improvements in fitness, confidence, and overall mindset.

Staff appreciated the early morning sessions, the encouragement from the Mind & Motion team, and the supportive environment that kept them motivated, even when the challenge felt tough. Many have noticed positive changes, with family members also recognising the difference.

We thank Mind & Motion for their ongoing support and congratulate our staff for their commitment and enthusiasm.

Make Real Difference — Join Our Team as a Disability Support Worker!

Do you have a heart for helping others? We’re looking for compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join Access Recreation and support individuals to live their best, most independent lives.

What you’ll do:
Assist participants with personal care, meal prep, and daily living tasks
Provide emotional and behavioural support for those with complex needs
Work with individualised care plans to help people grow and thrive
Complete shift case notes and ensure continuity of care

What you bring:
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or willing to obtain
Strong communication, problem-solving, and record-keeping skills
Availability for a variety of shifts, including mornings, sleepovers, weekends

What we offer:
Flexible shifts (casual & part time)
Competitive pay: $38–$45/hour (with loadings for weekends)
Not for profit salary packaging (up to $15,900 FBT year)
Supportive, values-driven work environment
Training and professional development opportunities
