Join Our Team – Support Workers Wanted for Supported Independent Living (SIL) Houses

Are you passionate about making a difference in people’s lives?
Access Recreation is looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team and support participants living in our SIL homes across the region.

💙 About the Role
As a Support Worker, you’ll provide day to day assistance to participants to help them live independently and achieve their personal goals.
You’ll support individuals with daily living tasks, community access, personal care, and skill development – all while fostering independence and inclusion.

👥 About You
Caring, reliable, and person centred approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Current Driver’s License and reliable vehicle

🌿 Be Active - Bundaberg 💧

Our Bundy Crew kicked off the day with a refreshing walk along the beautiful Burnett River, starting from River Cruz Café all the way up to Alexandra Park and back! Along the way, we took time to appreciate the local flora and fauna and even made a quick pit stop at the office to say hello 👋🏼

In the afternoon, we focused on our “Mental Health” learning modules, with today’s topic being Anxiety.

We explored:
✨ What anxiety is
✨ What it looks, sounds, and feels like
✨ How anxiety affects our bodies

It was a fantastic brainstorming session where everyone shared helpful tips and strategies for managing anxiety

To wrap up the day, we had some Melbourne Cup fun, everyone picked a horse name out of a hat, and the lucky winner took home a jar of lollies

Our Be Active Bundaberg crew had the best day learning something new - Croquet!

A big thankyou to Russell for volunteering his time and making sure everyone got involved and had fun - the group loved every moment 🙌
