A Recovery Coach helps people with psychosocial disability increase independence and participate more fully in life. At 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, our coaches work with you, your family, and carers to create tailored recovery plans and build your capacity to manage complex challenges.

Recovery Coach support is generally covered in your NDIS plan, so you don’t have to pay extra. Typically, it costs you on an hourly basis, but your NDIS planner or Coordinator can provide the exact details. Call us anytime and we'll be more than happy to help you with your recovery journey.

Why is Epilepsy Awareness Day a Purple Day? 💜

Purple Day was founded in 2008 by a young girl named Cassidy Megan to remind people living with epilepsy: you are not alone.

She chose purple because lavender is recognised worldwide as the flower for epilepsy.

Our team at ASC sees the importance of that message every day. Behind every diagnosis is a person navigating life, goals, and challenges, and having the right support can make all the difference.

We’re here to walk alongside participants, helping them access supports that empower independence and confidence.

Ever wondered why we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st?

The date 3/21 symbolises the three copies of chromosome 21 that people with Down syndrome have. Another fun fact: these chromosomes seen under a microscope can actually look like mismatched socks!

Celebrating World Down Syndrome Day today means recognising the strengths, achievements, and contributions of people with Down syndrome in our communities. 💙💛

Thinking about changing your Support Coordinator?

Under the NDIS, participants have the flexibility to change providers at any time. But it’s important to follow the right process to ensure your supports continue smoothly.

According to NDIS guidelines, this may include:
✔️ Discussing the change with your current Support Coordinator
✔️ Following the process outlined in your service agreement
✔️ Ending your current service booking
✔️ Creating a new service booking with your chosen provider

Your current Support Coordinator should also provide a handover report so your new provider understands your goals, supports, and plan details.
