Under the NDIS Act, not everything can be funded. But in specific circumstances, the NDIS may allow you to use a different service or item instead of one already in your plan. These are called Replacement Supports.

A 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 is not an add-on, it's a substitute of an existing support in your plan. Not all supports are eligible, and you can only buy this support only if the 𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐒 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Did you know urgent changes to your circumstances can be prioritised by the NDIA?

If you are in a critical situation due to a significant change in your life such as changes to your safety, living arrangements, or support needs, you can request an urgent plan reassessment.

In these cases, the NDIA may prioritise your request to ensure you receive the support you need as quickly as possible. You can 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐀 𝐨𝐧 𝟏𝟖𝟎𝟎 𝟖𝟎𝟎 𝟏𝟏𝟎 if your circumstances become critical.

Evidence will still be required to support the review request, but urgent situations may be fast-tracked for assessment.
