Nearly four years into his Kanda journey, Darren works with our Child, Youth and Family Services team in Cairns at Jayur House. Supporting young people with complex needs takes trust and resilience, and Darren values the strong, united team around him. His dedication to care, and bringing laughter into the home, truly stood out.

Since joining Kanda in 2024, Oscar has been a valued member of our Cairns team, working within the Jayur House Program. Sharing with you some snaps of our productive day at the 𝐀𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 – 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 event. ☀️

Our VIC Kanda team headed to the Matthew Flinders Hotel yesterday, February 18, to connect with the local NDIS community. It was a fantastic morning of collaboration between support coordinators, service providers and allied health.

We loved the fast-paced format, giving everyone the opportunity to connect, share insights and learn more about the supports available across the sector.

Thank you to everyone who spent a few minutes with the Kanda team. We look forward to continuing the conversations and strengthening relationships across the community. 🤝

Kanda is proud to be partnering with Enliven Housing for an upcoming event, showcasing a new SDA opportunity in one of Perth’s most vibrant and connected communities.

As the onsite SIL provider, Kanda will be supporting participants to live independently with the right supports in place, tailored to their goals.

In WA, Kanda’s service delivery is led by strong clinical oversight, not as an add-on, but as a core part of how we support clients. Our Regional Manager, Babs Smith, oversees all service delivery across the state and brings her background as a Registered Nurse to every level of decision-making.

With multiple layers of nursing oversight embedded throughout our team, we provide compassionate, clinically sound, and responsive support that adapts as client needs evolve. As a result, the teams coordinating daily care are equipped to make safe, informed decisions and communicate clearly with treating practitioners when needs shift.

This translates to responsive, well-coordinated care and better outcomes, delivered by a team that genuinely understands the health challenges they may be navigating.

We’re kicking off February with growth and impact!

Last 3rd – 5th of February, our L&D team empowered our CYF Residential Care Workers with comprehensive Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Training, in our Townsville office.

The TCI Therapeutic Milieu is the combination of people, emotions, attitudes and environment that foster a strong sense of safety, respect, belonging, care and accountability for young people in care.

A key component of TCI is the Life Space Interview (LSI) — a supportive, youth-centred approach that helps young people reflect on their experiences, understand their emotions, and make positive choices. Through guided conversations, LSI strengthens emotional growth, resilience, and problem-solving skills.

We’re proud to continue building the capability of our teams to provide safe, therapeutic, and trauma-informed care that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. 💙

What a fantastic day at the Adelaide South Community Disability Expo! 👏

Our SA team, Libby Chapman and Lyndal Cameron, attended the expo yesterday, 12/02/26 and had a wonderful time representing Kanda. It was a day filled with meaningful conversations with participants and families, networking with fellow providers, and sharing insights.

We loved being part of such a vibrant community event and connecting with so many people across the disability sector. 🫶
