Wide Bay Social Work Services is a small family run practice providing emotional and practical support to the people of the Wide Bay area. With an office upstairs in the Bundaberg Business Enterprise Centre, Wide Bay Social Work is also mobile and can provide a service in the comfort of your own home if required. All staff hold relevant qualifications, current National Criminal History Checks and Working with Children Blue Cards. Our trading hours are flexible and appointments are available after hours and on weekends if required. Wide Bay Social Work Services offers:
Counselling (bulk billing available with appropriate GP referral for Medicare and DVA clients)
Professional Supervision - social workers, teachers, counsellors etc. Contact us for more information.

Wide Bay Social Work is growing Up!!

After 13 years as a sole trader, Wide Bay Social Work is stepping into a new chapter.

We’re excited (and a little nervous!) to introduce MarJen Collective!

We begin our transition from 1 April. This shift allows us to grow in a sustainable way - expanding our team and broadening the services we can offer.

Although our structure is changing, our values remain firmly the same—continuing our commitment to person-centred, neurodivergent-affirming practice.

Thank you for being part of the journey so far—we can’t wait for what’s next.

Bundaberg Community - we are safe and our facilities are not affected by the floods. We will continue to operate as usual and invite you to visit. However, please be cautious when traveling on the surrounding roads.

We extend our support to those impacted and encourage anyone requiring assistance to contact us.

If we’re honest — we’re a little terrified.

Change can feel big. Uncertain. Stretching.
And for many neurodivergent individuals (and businesses!), change isn’t always easy.

But here’s the other truth…

We’re also incredibly excited. 🌿

Growth means listening.
Growth means evolving.
Growth means building something even stronger for our community.

Something new is on the horizon for Wide Bay Social Work Services.
We’re not quite ready to share all the details yet…

But trust us — it’s aligned, intentional, and created with the same heart and values you’ve always known.

We have 3 rooms that need a name!
I’ve been calling them conference room, purple room (even though it looks pink, the paint was actually purple) and grey room. But I’m so sure we could be much more creative!!!!

Originally we had called them “Training” “Adult therapy” and “Kids therapy”

Oh!!! There’s another room - currently called Lego room!

We are currently seeking a temporary Allied Health Assistant to cover a three-week leave period. This opportunity may extend beyond the initial term. Students enrolled in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, and related programs can benefit from hands-on experience with our Allied Health Team. The casual position involves 10-15 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday. Those interested in this opportunity are encouraged to contact us for additional information.
