Having Travel Training on Thursdays at Lifeskills Bundoora and Bendigo means we can bring both groups together every now and then to meet and catch up.
Last week the groups met at Gaffney's Bakery in for a delicious lunch.
We love brining the groups together so participants can get to know each other and share their experiences at Lifeskills and beyond.

Making budgeting fun! Participants spent yesterday's Household Budgeting and money Handling Skills activity planning for a holiday in Queensland. Participants picked a budget then used that as a guide to find flights, accommodation and activities. The exercise involved a group discussion, making the afternoon interactive and enjoyable.

Getting familiar with the new work placement location at Helping Hands Preston! Participants studying their Certificate I in Work Education will spend up to 12 weeks to fulfill their practical placement requirements at Helping Hands where they will learn communication skills, workplace conduct, occupational health and safety and customer service.

Did you know that each year at Lifeskills Bundoora and Bendigo, we run First Aid February? Here's a look back at FAF from 2025:
It's First Aid February once again! Each year, Lifeskills Participant Support Workers talk to participants about first aid and what it means. Participants learn what is in First Aid Kits, when to get help and who to ask for help. Participants also learn about emergencies vs non-emergencies.
