Taking Care of Ourselves, So We Can Take Care of You

As many of you know, we've been through a bit of a whirlwind since the fire, and I thought it best to take some time to regroup during October. I said all big decisions would come after JellyRoll. Well, here's the first one!

As we navigate our temporary space and the aftermath of the fire, Cameron Bland - Your Healing Space Bungendore and I have made the decision to prioritise our own self-care and balance. We realise that if we're overwhelmed and burnt out, we can't provide the best care for our clients.

As private practitioners, we manage our own appointments, invoices, and collaborations with other professionals, and we write reports for NDIS, workers comp, and other services. This work takes time, and we're currently feeling the squeeze.

So, starting this week, we're shifting our schedule to 4 days of client sessions in our temporary space, and 1 day of admin, sales, and office duties from home. This will give us the space we need to catch up on these essential tasks, as well as process the emotional and practical aftermath of the fire and tend to our crystal sales.

For the rest of 2025, you may notice some changes to our schedule. Depending on how bookings are each week, we will need to ask some of our Thursday clients to move to a different day one week, and some of our Friday clients to move another week. We know this may cause some inconvenience, and we want to assure you that we'll give you as much notice as possible.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we navigate these changes. Our goal is to provide the best possible care for you, and we can't do that if we're not taking care of ourselves first 💖.

Looking ahead to 2026, we'll be seeing clients on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Within the next week, we'll be opening up our books for 2026 appointments, so stay tuned for that announcement! 📅

We're excited to settle into a new rhythm and to
continue serving you in our temporary space. We anticipate being there until at least January 31 at this point.

Thanks for being part of our community, and we look forward to continuing this journey with you 🌈.

Please know that we're doing our best to balance our own needs with yours, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we move forward 🙏.

After experiencing a traumatic event like a fire, it's common for life to become a bit blurry and our sense of time to get a little wonky. The aftermath can be disorienting, making it hard to keep track of days and weeks. For me, the second half of September and most of October felt like a bit of a haze, and I was slowly trying to find my way back to my usual baseline.

As I was packing for the Strummingbird Country Music Festival in Newcastle, I stumbled upon my Halloween leggings from my last trip to America three years ago (Walmart, anyone? 😊). They're so cosy and bring me so much joy, but I totally missed wearing them in October. So, I've decided to make up for it - expect to see me rocking all my spooky leggings for the next little while. Consider it my own personal Halloween season extension 🦇👻

Also, people seemed confused by my assertion that Jellyroll could solve all my problems. But it turned out to be true.💕

If I'm being real, it's been a tough 6ish weeks since the arson impacted YHS. So if I say I’m fine just know Ilearned to hide it well. 💔.

I'm holding space for the hard emotions. I’m not ok but we’re all gonna be alriight. 🎵 🎶 🎵

Self-care is key - and a holiday by the beach + Shaboozey and JellyRoll will go a long way towards healing, I think…

See you all after Tuesday. Remember - no sessions Saturday .

Meet Michele

I am a healer and wellness advocate who believes in transforming the planet, one life at a time. I spent the first 45 years of my life in America, where I found the lifestyle frenetic. In 2015, I moved from America to Australia for a lifestyle change. I traded in a busy, city life for a small, rural, slow-paced, "no worries" lifestyle.

I have raised 4 children, Cameron (26), Molly (23), Nathaniel (20) and Isaac (18) while following my adventure-seeking, military husband, William, around the world. During different seasons of my life, I worked as a school teacher and as a programs supervisor/teacher in childcare centers. In addition, I worked for United Cerebral Palsy in America in client support. Later I worked independently in hospice care providing emotional, physical and spiritual support for the dying. I am grateful for all of these experiences as they have shaped me as a person.

I appreciate nature and care deeply about sustainability and environmental issues. I currently raise orphaned kangaroos as a licensed wildlife rescuer/carer for Wildcare, Queanbeyan. Right now I am a kangaroo mama to 10 orphaned kangaroo joeys ranging in size from 600 grams to 10 kg. What started out as a fun "Australian experience" of "let's just raise 2 kangaroos" has become one of my passions.

I am presently focused on building this wellness practice in Bungendore. I hold certifications as a schoolteacher, meditation teacher, chair yoga instructor, EFT/TFT tapping practitioner, holistic wellness counselor (individual/family talk therapy), and hypnotherapist. I also provide dietary support (AIP) for clients with auto-immune disorders. I have a particular interest in auto-immune disorders after healing myself of lupus, fibromyalgia, and Sjogren's disease with diet and lifestyle changes as well as changing my subconscious beliefs.
