I was a slave to my trauma ceiling.

Every time I’d focus on my goals.

Every time I’d face conflict in relationships.

Every time I’d start to feel relaxed.

Trauma would dysregulate my nervous system, saying this is not safe.

And I’d fight, I’d avoid, I’d hide, I’d shutdown.

Anything to make the overwhelm go away.

But it didn’t go away. It just got buried deeper, waiting until the next trigger.

At the time I blamed everything outside of me.

I didn’t realize my body was holding trauma until I went through a breakdown.

That’s what got me interested into understanding why my body was holding onto trauma.

And learning how to release myself from its grip.

That’s why I made the Oh Sh*t Trauma’s here toolkit.

DM me the word ā€˜TOOLKIT’ and I’ll send you the link to get it.

šŸ‘‰ When the nervous system is holding trauma, capacity shrinks.

Symptoms like chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety, and dis-ease compound and healing feels out of reach.

These are not personal failings, but signals of an overloaded and depleted nervous system.

A sign you’re struggling to ride the waves of your somatic world.

This is how healing happens šŸ‘‡šŸ¾

šŸ‘‰ When we heal our soma, capacity expands.

> Same waves.
> More inner space.
> Less internal chaos.

What once overwhelmed us... becomes safe to feel, process, and integrate.

That’s what we’ll be exploring in Heal Your Soma this Saturday:

✨ Why your body reacts the way it does

✨ How to expand your nervous system capacity

✨ Somatic tools to shift from fear-based patterns into love-based awareness

Because healing isn’t about stopping the waves — it’s about growing the space to hold them šŸŒŠšŸ’š

If this speaks to you >> Join us in Heal Your Soma this Saturday.

Welcome to my world.

If you’re here, chances are you’re a coach, healer, or therapist looking to go deeper—
In your body. In your work. In the way you help others heal.

That’s exactly what we do here.

I’m Benjamyn Fergusson—founder of the Neuro Somatic School.
For 20+ years, I’ve been helping people unlock the wisdom of their body
and guide others to do the same.

If you’re curious about somatic healing, nervous system work, or want to bring this into your own practice—

šŸ’¬ Message me on WhatsApp and say ā€œHEALā€
I’ll reply personally. No bots. No spam. Just a real convo.

If your relationship with your body reflects how you’ve learned to survive, adapt, and belong—then changing that relationship changes everything.

Not all at once. But moment by moment.

Here’s a simple place to start:

šŸŒ€ Somatic Practice: ā€œMicro-Permission Check-Inā€

Pause for a moment...

Ask your body: ā€œWhat do you need right now?ā€

Don’t judge. Don’t fix. Just notice.

If the answer is clear—give yourself permission to follow it (even a little).

It might be rest. Water. Stillness. Movement. Space.
Whatever it is—that listening is the beginning.

It’s the practice of connection.
Of re-patterning from the inside out.

And if you’re ready to go deeper—
to embody this work and teach it to others?

That’s what we do inside the Neuro Somatic School.

DM ā€œHEALā€ or hit the link in bio to explore the path.

Who is Benjamyn Fergusson — or as airport security always says, ā€œBenjamin… with a Y?ā€ šŸ˜…

šŸ‘£ I was told by Doctors, scoliosis couldn’t be healed. My spine—and life—disagreed. That healing became the spark that led me to work as a physical rehabilitation and movement therapist.

šŸ‘£ I built Melbourne’s first movement gym (pre-CrossFit)… and thought I had it all figured out.

šŸ‘£ Then I hit a wall. I was helping bodies—but I wasn’t healing people.
Turns out, unprocessed trauma was running the show—in me and in my clients.

šŸ‘£ So I went deeper. Somatic work. Internal martial arts. Energy cultivation and healing.
Practices that didn’t just stretch muscles—they rewired how I related to my body, and the world.

šŸ‘£ As I healed, practitioners started asking: ā€œWhat are you doing that gets these results?ā€
That’s when the Neuro Somatic School was born—so I could teach what I couldn’t explain with just anatomy charts.

šŸ‘£ Since then, I’ve helped 1000s of practitioners, coaches, and seekers around the world, build online healing practices—teaching nervous system work, trauma healing, and deep embodiment. Yes, it can be done effectively online.

šŸ‘£ I don’t teach methods to fix people. I teach a way of being with the body where healing becomes real, felt, and lasting.

šŸ‘£ I’ve been called a practitioner, mystic, artist… and a guy who has a cabernet named after him šŸ·

Healing isn’t a destination. It’s a daily return to wholeness.
To breath. To body. To what’s true—right here.
That’s the path I’m on. If you are too, let’s walk together.

Physical Wisdom: The Missing Link in Health & Fitness

Ola fellow mind-body explorer!

Allow me to introduce myself - my name’s Benny Fergusson and Movement Monk is the project I started after realising that the health and fitness industry is broken - like my back was.

In 2010 I went from being an elite sports person, to not being able to walk down the street without pain. My spine was buckled like an old bike wheel.

And when I looked to physiotherapy, chiropractic, osteopathy and many other modalities in the mainstream fitness sector ... no one could show me how to get lasting relief of the agonising pain I was in every day, so I could feel free in my body again.
