Due to strong demand, we’re bringing on another sheep pregnancy scanner to join our experienced team.

✅ Opportunities to expand into other areas of our precision livestock business (wool testing, data management, genetics)

Entering its eleventh iteration, over 200 alumni have completed the Breeding Leadership course.
Over the course of five days, participants network with over 20 like-minded young professionals, developing their skills in personal and team leadership as well as strategic planning, under the guidance of skilled program deliverers from the wool industry.

AWI Breeding Leadership 2026 will be delivered from Monday, 16 February until Friday, 20 February 2026 in Clare, SA.

Pregnancy scanning to determine litter size in sheep is not a new concept, yet many sheep producers still choose to scan only for pregnancy status, or skip scanning altogether. While previous studies have looked at profitability under specific conditions (such as breed, climate, or lambing time), a recently published study took a broader approach and found litter size scanning to be consistently profitable across a wide range of scenarios.
