Harbison has provided professional aged care and support to the Southern Highlands, for more than 60
Harbison is a community-owned not-for-profit approved aged care provider committed to safe and quality care services. We have two locations on the traditional lands of the Gundungarra people, at Moss Vale and Burradoo (Bowral), in the Southern Highlands of NSW. We offer the full range of care and lifestyle services to support older people as their needs change. This includes a range of aged care accommodation: specialised dementia care, respite care, residential care, home care, palliative care and NDIS. In 1956, Harbison was established in the Southern Highlands by a group of volunteers who recognised a high, local need for aged care services. After more than sixty years, we remain dedicated to serving the local community and are a thriving organisation, employing over 350 staff. We are proud of the history we have in this beautiful area and with the generations who live here. We truly believe we offer the best place to grow old in the Southern Highlands.

Trishaw Picnic with Scots Glengarry 🚴♀️☀️
Residents enjoyed a beautiful day out at B**g B**g Commons with students from Scots Glengarry as part of our Grandfriends Program!
The Harbison Trishaws were out and about, with students taking residents for a scenic ride around the bike track before settling in for a picnic together.
A perfect day, shared with wonderful company and so much fun!💛

🌿 A beautiful moment in the garden, recently, resident Helen’s daughter Janet brought in fresh herbs to plant in our kitchen garden, while Helen took in the scent of roses from her own garden 🌹
Denva, an avid green thumb, was right at home getting her hands dirty!
These fresh herbs will be enjoyed by residents, used in our kitchen for dishes 💚

This photo of Judy was taken as she and fellow cyclists pedalled along the Bondi Beach promenade 📺 🌊 Judy reminisced about her time working as a nurse and boarding in a neighbouring suburb, sharing how she was very popular, social and had a lot of fun, after moving from rural NSW to the big smoke!
Sparking memories, sharing stories, and celebrating the journeys that have shaped our resident’s lives is what our Motiview program is all about :)

Today marks an exciting step forward in Moss Vale! 👷🎉
We have broken ground on Harbison’s new independent living village - bringing modern, co-located retirement living to the📍Southern Highlands.
Designed for active ageing, close connection and living well...right here at home!
A big thank you 🫶 to our local federal MP, Carol Berry MP for showing her support for a project our community truly needs.
Dementia doesn’t just affect the person living with it… it also impacts their friends, family, and wider community. Sadly, many people living with dementia experience isolation when those around them aren’t sure how to stay connected.
With more than 433,000 Australians living with dementia and 1.7 million people involved in their care, chances are you know someone who is impacted. That’s why this week, Dementia Australia are challenging us all to reach out and reconnect with someone impacted by dementia, because nobody can do it alone.
As part of this important week, Harbison is proud to sponsor the upcoming screening of Otto by Otto 🎬, hosted by Dementia Inclusive Southern Highlands - DISH and Dementia Australia. It’s a moving documentary and a chance to come together in support of our community.
At Harbison, we are always proud to support events that bring people together, foster understanding and shine a light on the human stories behind dementia care.
We are proud to be sponsoring the upcoming screening of Otto by Otto, a moving documentary by Gracie Otto celebrating her father Barry Otto’s remarkable career in Australian theatre, film, and television 🎬🍿
Hosted by Dementia Inclusive Southern Highlands, the event will feature a local panel including a carer, Dementia Australia, and representatives from Harbison.
Date - Wednesday 17th September
Time - 10:30 am for an 11:00 am screening
Location - Empire Cinema, 327 B**g B**g Street, Bowral
