Harbison Harbison has provided professional aged care and support to the Southern Highlands, for more than 60

Harbison is a community-owned not-for-profit approved aged care provider committed to safe and quality care services. We have two locations on the traditional lands of the Gundungarra people, at Moss Vale and Burradoo (Bowral), in the Southern Highlands of NSW. We offer the full range of care and lifestyle services to support older people as their needs change. This includes a range of aged care accommodation: specialised dementia care, respite care, residential care, home care, palliative care and NDIS. In 1956, Harbison was established in the Southern Highlands by a group of volunteers who recognised a high, local need for aged care services. After more than sixty years, we remain dedicated to serving the local community and are a thriving organisation, employing over 350 staff. We are proud of the history we have in this beautiful area and with the generations who live here. We truly believe we offer the best place to grow old in the Southern Highlands.

Today we celebrate the incredible people who give their time, energy and heart to our Harbison community. This year alone, our volunteers committed a massive 45,000+ hours, and every single one made a meaningful difference.

With more than 47 dedicated volunteers, our community is enriched through the events they run, the activities and outings they facilitate, and the connection, conversation, and companionship they share so generously.

Harbison is a community legacy and we simply wouldn’t be who we are without volunteers with passion, purpose and heart.

Today is International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD). A day to celebrate inclusion, visibility, and the belief that every person deserves the chance to move, connect and thrive. ✨

At Harbison, we believe age or ability should never be a barrier to joy… especially the simple joy of riding a bike! 🚲💛

That’s why we are proud to be part of this Friday’s ‘Inclusive Bikes – Come & Try’ event at Moss Vale Basketball Stadium, where we’ll showcase our Cycling Without Age trishaws and Motiview virtual cycling program. 🌟

Two powerful ways we help people and those living with disability reconnect with movement, memory and freedom. 💫

Who is this for?
🩺Allied health services, OT's, physiotherapists, support workers
👨‍👩‍👧Parents, carers of children with disability, or who are neurodiverse
🚴‍♂️Carers, older people who would love to ride a bike again, or for the first time

Meet Elisha Molloy👋 our wonderful Admissions Manager!
Elisha has been part of the Harbison family for almost 6 years, starting out as a Carer at our Burradoo home before moving into the Admissions Team.

Her passion for learning and growth continues to shine, she’s now completing a Diploma in Village Management, with plans to take the next step in her career once she graduates.

Our Story

Harbison is a residential community providing aged care services for older people across two locations in Burradoo and Moss Vale in the Southern Highlands.

We offer the full range of care and lifestyle services to support older people as their needs change. This includes a range of aged care accommodation: independent living, home care, respite care, residential care, specialised dementia care and palliative care.

Our accommodation provides quality, integrated aged care and lifestyle services to our residents, enabling them to age in place. They experience a ‘continuum of care’ within a genuinely caring and social village-like environment without the need to move.

In 1956, Harbison was established in the Southern Highlands by a group of volunteers who recognised a high, local need for aged care services. After more than sixty years, we remain dedicated to serving the local community and are a thriving organisation, employing over 350 staff.
