Stable Mind Equine Assisted Therapy is extremely grateful and privileged to have the Hervey Bay RSL Sub Branch sponsor our charity for another year.

This is the 4th year the Sub Branch has sponsored/supported our charity and it's important we acknowledge the committee and it's members for believing in our mission supporting mental health in the Fraser Coast community through equine based support .πŸ‘β€οΈ

The second visitor to Stable Mind Equine Assisted Therapy yesterday was Emi and her support worker Mia.

Because Emi has been visiting Stable Mind for a few years now, I asked her to work with Mousey because I believe in Emi's ability as a horse person to sort out Mousey's attitude.

Emi did a fantastic job and Mousey soon realized Emi was the boss, we did left and right turns and over logs without Mousey moving the obstacles.

After that we visited Emi's favorite big fellas Ringer and Mac.

Well done Emi πŸ‘

Yesterday Stable Mind Equine Assisted Therapy welcomed 2 visitors .

First it was Daisy and her mum Kim .

This was Daisy's 2nd visit and we started working with Mousey however I think Daisy was a bit nervous and Mousey didn't behave nicely.

So we went to visit our therapy donkeys, and the boys were brilliant with Daisy.

We did some lead work with Diago and Quavo decided to help out on the lead ropeπŸ˜‚

However Rif- Raf was Daisy's favorite, the hugs speak volumes

No visit would be complete without saying hello to my service dog Piper and our mini goat skip.

A great visit guys, I look forward to welcoming you next time.

The unpredictable weather of recent weeks with rain and extreme heat and humidity has been a real problem for our clients to visit.

However today was just perfect for Stable Mind Equine Assisted Therapy to welcome Amy and her support worker Holly.

Amy is one of our favorite and regular visitors and I have watched Amy's confidence and skills as a horse person grow with every visit.

This morning we worked with Mousey, starting with a bit of pampering, then some basic ground work. After that we led Mousey through an obstacle course , which was the first time for Mousey and Amy.

Amy was brilliant leading Mousey and the trust between the two of them was fantastic.

Then of course no visit would be complete without touching base with our therapy donkeys.

Well done again Amy πŸ‘

This morning Stable Mind Equine Assisted Therapy welcomed Australian Defense Force veteran Darren and his wife Kerri-Ann for a meet and greet with our therapy animals.

Of course our big therapy clydesdale Ringer was a big hit with Kerri-Ann , he is such a gentle big man.

Darren and Kerri-Ann enjoyed meeting all of the therapy horses and especially loved our therapy donkeys.

I look forward to our next visit 😁

This morning Stable Mind Equine Assisted Therapy had our first visitor of 2026.😁

We welcomed Hannah and her mother Kath. And of course my service dog Piper had to be the first to greet the guys.

This morning we worked with big King .
Firstly we pampered the big boy with a brush. Of course Mousey had to be involved.

Hannah has grown in confidence since visiting Stable Mind ,so this morning we learnt how to saddle King, then we worked the big fella doing various ground disciplines but using the saddle and stirrups as a tool to flex, back up, move his rear back legs and then some lead training.

Hannah did a brilliant job considering this was the first time working a horse under saddle and the smiles speak volumes. And King was so gentle and giving, he is a beautiful big boy.❀️

After that Kath and Hannah visited our therapy donkeys, and the boys loved saying hello.

The team at Stable Mind Equine Assisted Therapy would like to wish you all a safe and prosperous 2026. My year started with a severe dose of "man" flu 😷 🀧.

Yesterday we welcomed the newest member of our volunteers Delilah, to support and help my wife and I wash, groom all of our therapy horses and donkeys and get them ready for our visitors on Monday the 5th of January 2026.

2026 will be the fourth year Stable Mind Equine Assisted Therapy continues supporting mental health in the Wide Bay region through equine based support/therapy. We will continue helping participants build social well being, confidence and community awareness with our wonderful, caring horses and donkeys.

Stable Mind's diary is already starting to book out so please contact us through our website or page if you require any further information.

The 2nd visit to Stable Mind Equine Assisted Therapy this morning was our regular visitors Emi and Mia. It's always a pleasure to host these guys.

And of course Piper had to be the first to greet Emi and Mia.

Mousey was asked to work again, and she loved it.
Emi and I did some ground work disciplines with Mousey, including flexing to yeald , then backing up off the lead rope and turning left and right off her rear legs.

After that Emi took Mousey for a walk using her skills as a leader. Mousey was fantastic and Emi did a brilliant job, the smiles speak volumes 😁❀️.

Then we had to visit Emi's favorite therapy horses Big Ringer.

Well done Emi, your confidence grows with every visit to Stable Mind.

This morning Stable Mind Equine Assisted Therapy had 2 back to back visitors.

Firstly we welcomed first time participants Daisy and her mum Kym for a meet and greet with our therapy horses and donkeys.

Of course we had to say hello to my service dog Piper first.

Then Daisy and I worked with Mousey doing some basic lead training. Daisy did a great job and Mousey was so relaxed and was happy to have Daisy as the leader.

Then we did a paddock visit with the boys Ringer, Mac and King. The boys were very gentle with Daisy and enjoyed a bit of pampering.
King really bonded with Daisy.

After that we met our therapy donkeys, who also enjoyed being pampering.

It was a absolute pleasure to host Kym and Daisy this morning, and I look forward to their next visit.

We at Stable Mind Equine Assisted Therapy are very fortunate to have ongoing visitors returning to work with our therapy horses and donkeys.

Today we welcomed back Krissy and her support worker Tarn.

Also supporting me today was Delilah who volunteers for Riding for the Disabled ( RDA ) Hervey Bay, and now helping at Stable Mind.

Krissy worked with our therapy clydesdale Ringer.

We started with the important pampering with the big fella with Delilah also helping.

Then we worked on flexing, back ups and moving his rear in left and right turns.

After that we did some important lead training.

Krissy did a fantastic job and with Ringer and by the end of the session Krissy was the leader, of course Ringer was an absolute gentleman.

Thank you to Delilah for your support today, and well done Krissy.😁
