Last month, our Welshpool Energy and Resources team took part in the Sleep in Your Car fundraiser to support Mission Australia - and, thanks to the generosity of many, raised over $2,000!

This donation will help provide vital support services to children, families and individuals doing it tough across the country.

Here are a few snaps of our crew getting involved. A huge thanks to everyone who contributed, you’ve helped make a real difference!

Congratulations to Programmed's own Damien Townley, who was recently presented with a Patrick appreciation award (and gift card!) for his outstanding commitment to on-site safety.

When Damien noticed a subcontractor working under a truck turntable without the proper safety controls in place, his first action was to stop the job immediately. He then ensured the correct measures were applied before allowing work to continue, preventing what could have been a serious incident resulting in injury - or worse. Afterwards, Damien submitted a hazard report to capture the issue and ensure lessons were shared.

Terminal Manager Peter Chesi commended Damien’s quick thinking and decisive actions, which became the catalyst for this recognition.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do at Programmed, and we congratulate and thank Damien for setting such a strong example.

Being homeless is not a choice - it can, and does, happen to anyone.

Increased costs of living, a lack of affordable housing, and the impact of domestic and family violence can all be contributing factors to Australia’s housing and homelessness crisis.

This October, our Energy & Resources Team in WA will be taking action.

'Sleep In Your Car' challenges you to sleep overnight in your vehicle to help raise vital funds for Australians without a safe place to call home. Sleep In Your Car will provide crucial, nationwide support services to help more children, families and individuals who are doing it tough. This uncomfortable challenge is an unfortunate reality for many Australians, but we can work together to change it.

Any donation (link 👇) would be greatly appreciated, and a huge show of support for those in need.
