We did it. 🌉
Today I walked the full 7 Bridges Walk — 28 km across Sydney — in loving memory of my dad, Adib — and for every person and family facing cancer. I started at 8:18am and finished at 4:30pm.
It was hard at times (old leg injury and all), but the atmosphere was beautiful. Thousands of people walking for one purpose: helping people with cancer get care, dignity, and hope.
Cancer has touched my work as a dietitian / diabetes educator / nutritionist, and it has touched my own family. That journey is never easy.
Every patient deserves care.
Every patient deserves a chance.
Every patient deserves a voice.
Every patient deserves compassion.
Every patient deserves empathy.
Together you’ve helped raise more than $3,500 for Cancer Council through “Bridges for Adib.” Your support funds cancer research, prevention, and family services for people going through treatment right now.
