We said we were proud of our community… and wow, did Busselton deliver 💛
Turns out kindness and collective responsibility are super spreaders.

Huge love to the incredible team at Parlor Hair Company and their generous clients, who reached out to support the Really Really Free Pantry and have been making regular donations to help ensure everyone has food this Christmas. This is what community in action looks like.

Big hearts deserve big celebration ✨THANK YOU!!!!

Talking about su***de doesn’t create risk - it creates space, safety, and understanding.
Christmas can be especially difficult for those carrying overwhelming emotions.
Let’s help reduce the silence and stigma by staying open, compassionate, and aware.

Christmas can be a beautiful time, but it can also be overwhelming for many. Not everyone is celebrating, and not everyone feels festive.
A gentle reminder to look out for each other, create space for real conversations, and show compassion to those who may be struggling.

Our community’s generosity never ceases to amaze us. Our Really Really Free Pantry has just been filled again for anyone in need, and it’s moments like this that remind us of the power of kindness.

A special shout-out to Coles Vasse, who have supported this grassroots initiative from day one. Lindsay, the camera-shy store manager (who I finally convinced for a photo today!) has shown incredible generosity time and time again. From allowing a donation point in-store to supporting our client Christmas party with a store voucher today, his kindness has made a real difference. This contribution helps Bill, our day-to-day manager, cook up a Christmas lunch our Lamp community family will not forget.

Huge thanks also to Bunnings Busselton and Soils Aint Soils for backing our Really Really Free Community Garden.

We’re grateful for the organisations that continue to support our community in meaningful ways. If you cross paths with these businesses, feel free to thank them - their kindness goes a long way. Moments like these remind us that real change often comes from the believers, followers, and supporters quietly showing up for others.

🥕🌱 Hey Busselton Community! 🌱🥕

We’re excited to share that the garden beds for our Really Really Free Veggie Garden are now complete! 🙌
Huge thanks to Shannon, Jacob and Bill for their hard work in getting this all built and ready for planting.

Now it’s time for the fun part… growing food! 🥬🍅🌽
If anyone has veggie seedlings, herb cuttings, or edible plants they’d like to donate, we’d be so grateful. Every little contribution will help us create a thriving food garden full of kindness and nutritious goodness.

This veggie garden is for everyone
🌿 Want a place to garden and help the community?
🌿 Keen to share gardening tips?
🌿 Need some fresh veggies for dinner?

This is a community space for all, aimed at bringing people together and helping ensure everyone has access to fresh produce.

With the recent Child Poverty in Australia report showing that 1 in 6 children in WA are experiencing food insecurity, this is a practical way we can take action as a community. See the link below to ABC news article.

Let’s grow something amazing together, Busselton. 💚🌱
p.s We also filled up the pantry last night, so we have some food left for those in need. Coles Vasse and Busselton community supporters - you are amazing and deeply appreciated! Thank you!

🌱 We had a big day at LAMP’s Really Really Free Garden this week! 🌱

We’ve been out there making progress, powered entirely by sugar, community spirit, and generous donations from our amazing supporters: Naturaliste Landscape Supplies, Soils aint Soils - Busselton and Dunsborough, and Margaret River Vintners 💚

Special shoutout to Bill, who’s been part garden whisperer, part mad scientist — not only spreading the joy but also sharing his secret wisdom on “how to make your own wicking beds” (because apparently plants also like to stay hydrated 💧).

It’s all looking greener, funnier, and more “really really free” than ever!

Come join us next time — you might learn something, get your hands dirty, or at least get a good laugh watching us pretend we know what we’re doing 😂
