🌸 October is Menopause Awareness Month 🌸

Menopause is a natural stage of life — but for many, it can bring a range of physical and emotional changes that aren’t always easy to navigate. You’re not alone, and support is available.

Every person’s experience of menopause is different. Some may face symptoms like hot flushes, sleep disruption, mood changes, brain fog, or changes in libido. Others may experience very few symptoms at all. All experiences are valid. 💛

Our team is here to offer information, support and compassionate care to help you feel informed and empowered through every stage of this transition.

✨ If you have questions, concerns, or simply want to talk to someone who understands — we’re here for you.

Radiance has received the heartbreaking news that a recent grant was declined to fund the invaluable perinatal Radiance Outreach 1:1 in-home support program and is seeking urgent community support.

“We are reaching out to our local community with a Go Fund Me campaign to ensure this program can keep running for at least the next twelve months. Just in the first year of this program we received over 125 referrals. Many of these mums were battling intrusive and harmful thoughts about themselves and/or their baby. Through our Outreach program we can visit these most vulnerable, often isolated, mums and babies and reconnect them with the community,” explains Radiance Manager, Anne Mackay.

Thank you to the team at Busselton Mail for shining a light on this with us!

Perinatal Mental Health Week will be starting tomorrow and runs for the whole week from 17-23 November 2024. The theme for this year’s national campaign is ‘We’re here, a community that cares’.

The road to parenthood can be both beautiful and challenging. "We're Here: A Community That Cares," highlights the importance of perinatal mental health and the vital role community support plays in nurturing expectant parents.

Join us in this movement to drive awareness and education around perinatal mental health. Visit www.pmhweek.org.au for resources, and ways to get involved.

Remember, we’re here - because every parent deserves a community that cares.
